no..im thinking something with a little bit of a RIOTING flavor to it...
Hate to burst your bubble, but-as someone who's been to a few fan fests and fan faires....
...nothing much. Some drinking. Some people in costumes. Some panels where the devs may or may not be subjected to tough questioning depending on the panel. Other than that, not a whole lot.
Other than two people from opposing sides on one of EQ's PVP servers getting into a scrap, I have yet to see anything that remotely lives up to these kind of predictions no matter how bad the nerfing was or wasn't.
Yeah the fanfests are generally pretty tame.. but we could always attempt to organize a protest. O.o
Hell, I still have the email flier...

05-04-2005 - What can I expect from the Star Wars Galaxies Fan Fest?
The Fan Fest is an event to bring players in Star Wars Galaxies community together in person to meet the personalities they've been playing with for over two years. The event also offers a chance to talk with the development team at over 15 forums and panels, participate in unique live events and win very cool prizes from our sponsors. And there's plenty of free time to meet new people and check out the surrounding city sights.
When and where are Fan Fests held?
The second annual Star Wars Galaxies Fan Fest is currently scheduled to be held June 3 & 4, 2005 at the Anaheim Hilton. We are returning to Anaheim, CA for the second Fan Fest partly because it was a perfect location for the first very successful Fan Fest last year. The Anaheim Hilton did an amazing job at accommodating the over 1200 attendees we had last year. Anaheim also proved to be a popular destination for many folks who extended their stay to take advantage of its proximity to two amazing theme parks.
We have a block of rooms set aside for our event at $112 per night for singles/doubles. To take advantage of this great rate, call 1-800-HILTONS and request the group rate for the “LucasArts Star Wars Galaxies Fan Fest.” This rate is good for any night from May 28th through June 8th.
How much is Fan Fest and what is included in the ticket price?
The Fan Fest pre-registration fee is $89. Tickets at the door will be $100. Included in the ticket price is admission to the weekend long event, which includes panels and forums all day Friday, followed by an official welcome reception complete with hors d'oeuvres. Saturday features a day full of panels and forums, the Live Adventure competition, a full banquet dinner, a costume contest and drawings for great prizes! Folks attending the event will also receive a free Anaheim 2005 Fan Fest commemorative t-shirt and badge. You must be present to receive your badge and t-shirt. Meals outside of the hor d'oeuvres on Friday and dinner on Saturday, travel and hotel accommodations are not included in the price of Fan Fest registration.
How do I register for the Anaheim Fan Fest?
A registration page will be made available in the coming weeks.
I'm from outside the USA/Canada, can I register for the Anaheim Fan Fest?
International attendees will be able to register using the same page as domestic attendees. All funds will be processed in US dollars.
What Devs will be attending?
The full list of developers attending Fan Fest will be posted as we get closer to the event.
Will I be able to login to Star Wars Galaxies at the event?
Yes! We plan to have a gaming area set up for just this purpose. Also, the Anaheim Hilton does offer high-speed internet connection in every room.
Can significant others and children who don't play Star Wars Galaxies attend?
Of course! Non-playing attendees should register as "Guests". Please keep in mind that Star Wars Galaxies™: An Empire Divided™ is rated "Teen" by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and will be played at Fan Fest.
How much does it cost for my significant other/family member to attend?
All attendees, regardless of their Galaxies playing status will pay the same entrance fee, $89 in advance, $100 on site.
What about hotel accommodations?
Hotel accommodations are not included in the registration price. We have a block of rooms set aside for our event at $112 per night for singles/doubles. To take advantage of this great rate, call 1-800-HILTONS or fax @ (714) 867-5657 and use the reference code "LucasArts Star Wars Galaxies Fan Fest" when calling. Please see the Hotel & Travel page for updated information.
Can I wear a costume at the event?
Please do! We highly encourage you to put your most imaginative foot forward with your Star Wars Galaxies-inspired appearance and enter our costume contest!
((((MY FAVORITE...)))
Does the hotel allow replica weapons?
The Hilton Anaheim does allow replica weapons to be displayed inside the hotel for events like Fan Fest. Weapons must clearly be non-functioning replicas. If at any time there is any question at all regarding a replica, attendees maybe be stopped by hotel security and the replica may be examined. Hotel security has been provided with images of Star Wars replica weapons in advance of the event.

You're kidding, right?
You're talking about people who don't have what it takes to stop paying money for a game they're no longer happy with. You think they're going to actually risk physical injury and imprisonment?
I wouldn't make book on it.
