So, if i am reading the devs right, if you are a Jedi and want to stay off the terminals you have to kill non loot npc's....and since you cant get Jedi items in a cave anymore you have to kill loot dropping npc's to get ca's and aa's? Another fine paradox from soe. Or is this more an oxymoron?

Yeah seriously people, try looking outside MBH missions, MBH has the advantage of getting an "instanced" mark which has a high chance of dorpping jar of foraged flies or delicate trigger assembly, SEAs doesn't drop every time and each mission takes about 20+ minutes to do.

But Blix was lying when he said the BH loot wasn't nerfed. I refuse to believe that most of the BH community were getting awesome loot and 3 items per mob exclusively the first day of the patch, and that it was just a random thing. That is just too far beyond belief. I ran through 6 masterNPCmarks the first day of the patch. I got 18 items, meaning 3 per mark, and all were high quality items, like a good damage crystal, +11 carb defense AA, 3 BH armour schems, a decent hi-cap scatter and other stuff.


I can fully see Aakuan mission drops getting nerfed along with the cave loots. Thank you 3rd party loot whores.

Then you were the exception, not the rule. I too did a lot of missions on patch day as a MBH. I'd say at least 10 mission, only twice did I get 3 items. Never did I loot any highend gun components but I did loot 1 CA that ended up being +11 droid speed lol.


There are times when I can loot 4 things in a row that had great loot and then get a span of 20 missions of nothing but bugs/warmhats/smuggler gear (mando inter frames, omg I hatethe dev who made these)

Goodness, just go for a walkabout on Dathomir with some friends... the way the Nightsisters and SMC girls gather togeher for their teaparties and sleepovers, it's a mere massacre and kill fest, and a wee trip through the chipper-shredder to find all the shiny bits people admire.


I do have a MBH alt and I did work that up for the loot drops. But I get more useful, worthwhile loot in a fixed space of time for killing the Force Sorority members on the way out to and back from the mark that hides on Dathomir than I do from any space of 10 npc marks that are easier to get to on otherplanets.

Deathwatch NPCs, Neutral Corvette NPCs, Singing Mountain Clan, Sith Shadows, Nyax Cultists, Tuskens, Geonosian Mercenaries, Force Crystal Hunters, NPC Jedi, Force Adepts, Escpaed Slaves, Pirate Leaders, Canyon Corsairs, Blood Razors, Dantari Rockshapers and Jinda Ritualists.

As someone who spends 4 hours a day 7 days a week for 18 months (since i finished my template) loot hunting...above is a bunch of garbage.


Deathwatch - Only entrance is soloable and the drop rate is the worst of any mob in-game. I know peeps that have spent 6 months in there and have 3 jetpack parts to show for it. No skill tapes, no crystals, nothing else. So DWB is out for us true loot hunters.


Corvette - I assume you mean the corellian corvette that has mobs not adjusted since the CU ? The place no group bothers with these days and 95% of newbs dont even know about ? This place is off-limits except for those morons who dont mind dying 300 times while they get an av-21 schematic and if lucky 1 powerplant for it. Yeah really good place to get tapes.../sarcasm off


Singing Mountain clan / Nightsisters - Umm what game are you playing ? Since CU messed up loot tables, they drop junk. Elders no longer drop tapes or premium/flawless crystals. The drop rate used to be 1 tape every 10 hours for me, now its 0 tapes after 100 hundred hours. Everyone but you apparently knows this as well. Dont believe me, go take a look at the forced labor cave on dath. Its always empty now.


Lok - any mobs on Lok dropped junk before CU, after is the same. Go try and farm the canyon corsairs hideout for say a whole weekend. You'll end up with 2 "good" crystals (worthless) and 1 junky tape like +3 augment efficiency


Dantooine - force wielders, etc only drop good crystals if anything. Thats not worth anyone's time. The jinda types are pointless as who needs doc stuff these days ? Ive farmed the crystal cave on several occasions, zero tapes...only crummy crystals.


NPC Jedi - Besides maybe 1-2 templates, these arent something that can be hunted solo. And they dont spawn in reliable spots. Only those imps who farm the mission have access to them with the right template and some luck. I dont consider this a reliable loot place when mobs are level 200+ and can only be spawned by one faction.


Marauders - im the king of farming them, knowing where and when to go. They simply dont drop anymore because of the loot tables. I used to get 1-2 decent sellable tapes every buff session (3 hrs). Since the CU, Ive gotten a total of 4 tapes over hundreds of hours of killing.


Krayt / Gorax / Ackley - Pointless to waste time on them. BH marks drop a new loot called power cells which are way better than tissues or bones from these mobs. I recently tried selling 20+ gorax bones / krayt tissues...couldnt sell hardly any of it as the market is gone. Pearls, if you can get one go for 500k each. You might get 1-2 every week, hardly worth the time and effort for so little credits.


So in conclusion, the original poster is correct to complain. We looters are totally running out of things to do. This is our end-game and its been broken for months. Enough already, fix it or watch us quit.

Except none of those drop tapes on regular basis. I've spent two days hunting nightsisters, singing mountain clan and not looted anything but pikes, food and smuggler loots.


I don't know what NS's you are getting tapes from ? Care to share the secret ?
