First we need a Jedi profession, then we can have the reason for the boards.
So far we are offered steak for the price of game sales and in the end given bologna.

LOL omg man, you are part of the problem this topic is discussing, frankly no your alt crunchy does not have the same right to post on here as much as your BH, this board is for productive conversation towards bettering the profession, and someone who is ignorant toward the subject doesn't have a right to influence it, thats like saying your 10yrs old and you have the same right to do the bills and talk monthly finances with your parents. Now if you want to complain about jedi on the BH forums knock yourself out. Maybe the moderators will be more productive and given more executive rights to purging your irrelaventtopics and account from not only the boards but the game itself and STILL take your $15 a month.

K, so since i'm a swordsman, a pikeman, a TKA, and a medic should i only be alowed to post on those boards? So should i not be able to contribute ideas to other profesions and servers to make the game better all around? No, you should not, freedom of speech is an amendment in theconstitution, not the Terms of Service you sign when you create your account, or log onto the launchpad. Go ahead and take an ad out in the paper or send out a press release saying what you want about jedi. But on here due to people like you who want to put such negative influence on these boards which are supposed to be used so devs can listen to the actual player base. That privalege has been pi$$ed away, Now it doesn't mean jedi aren't going to pick up the slack and call for nerfs and stuff themselves, but I'm sorry to say it is far more relavent to hear the reason behind a nerf from a MLS/MENH then it is coming from a swordsmen.

there is a jedi only forum around here somewhere for the kiddies, ask someone to point you to a link
also, just because someone doesn't have a glowstick in their sig, doesn't mean he doesn't have a jedi toon

Have you read through the whole thread man? The topic and general idea is to get rid of BHs who get off the game and come here to complain and troll. Not make it so if you don't refer to yourself as a jedi in your post you can't use it at all. My suggestion would actually be to make the forums accessible only through the Launchpad next to the recent news, under the play button. then your characters can be easily evaluated to see what main character you have chosen for yourself through a terms of service for both the game and the forums. If you like many people do have a jedi as a main and a BH as an alt, then you are denied access to the bh forums. You are able to still able to read the topics I guess would be fair. But thewrite to post on them has just been abused by far more then just a minority and really does need to be addressed so this board can function again as a source of player feedback for the devs, not a flamin irrelevent troll fest that negate the purpose. If only by removing other professions who quite frankly opinions about jedi and visa versa, I'm sorry to say it does not matter. Heck it might only be asmall step, but its a start.
You want to bring UP your own profession, not go on here and do exactly the opposite for another. We should not see jedi on the pikemen forum complaining about their ability to stack defense. We should not see someone who says "Ya I hate jedi, <insert whinning> but on this particular subject I want to put my two cents in even tho I'm not a jedi, haven't played him in 5 months, and I don't want to be one! Oh but no! my opinion on master powers offensive capabilities compared to master lightsabers is just as relevent as any jedi main player...."

I'm sure a lot of Commando's, BH, Rifleman, Carbineers, Pistoleers, Combat medics, ect would love for jedi to be banned from postig in there forums to.

Moderators can; correspondents cannot.
But we can't read every post of every thread in every forum. If you feel someone is trolling, use the "Report Abuse to a Moderator" link on that post and give a brief description of the problem. Doing that (the brief description) really helps so we don't have to read through 3 pages to figure out who's trolling what.
The SWG forums have trolls?

Freedom of speech doesn't apply to a private message board. It applies to the government making laws to curtail freedom of speech.
Wouldn't matter anyway, most of the worst trollers have a Jedi character.
