/bump. This needs to stay up front until it's addressed. If this goes live with the news that ToOW loot/rewards will be no drop/no trade and no fix for all of the jedi bugs - saber speed, padawan robes etc etc..... This game is becoming a headache, I play to have fun not fight off the nerf/bug bat. We'll see how this comes out then we all need to make a decision if this is where our entertainment money is best spent. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

I read that whole announcement twice and my head started hurting. LOL!

I kid, I kid.

Seriously though, what with the very cryptic wording? It seems like they are making this sound more complicated than it needs to be.

...to raise the lance for all melee professions

against BH or in pvp I guess atm we have all the same problems. Soon there will be nearly no melee left in the normal professions cause range is already the rouler of the most stuff. So I see only realistic changes like that to bring in more fun for all melee and sorry if it sounds now like a nerf to bring CM's in line again.

- a debuff should not be greater than a buff ( if action is 20% buffable max of a debuff should be 20% )

- snare and root should have a different anger timer of 30-45 seconds after ending ( will make total snare or root impossible)

- Paralyze...yay yay yay if I see it as an escape pod like concussion and stasis ( and I see it like that ) it should not give the the possibility to make any player ( if range or melee) to become a duck... let fire, Edrain and how they are named cause 1 Hitpoint dmg while applying and we are in line again.( I remember once apply poison causes already while apply one total dmg tick why changed? )

And, if these changes are meant to take upcoming SL changes into account, will the BH/jedi TEF negate SL's who are grouped with either the BH or jedi?

One would assume that as BH/Jedi combat is designed to be 1v1, SL buffs will be canceled out as soon as the hunter engages the bounty.

This was how it was when the GTEF was originally removed. As far as I am aware however, the buffs stick during BH/TEF combat on TC now. Also AFAIK, no public announcement has been made if this is intended or not.

Don't forget this is a double edged sword: What might happen if a Jedi grouped with a SL goes up against a lone BH?

I am confused about one thing. The line that says:

We are changing this so that:

Only one temporary movement buff or effect can be active on a character at one time and movement enhancers will be overwritten by snares (in other words, one will cancel the other).

All buffs that modify movement will continue to stack as normal; however the movement effects will be handled so that only one is in effect at any given time.

Is that implying that if a MCM hits me with electorlyte drain and im snared to a slow running speed now...and then he hits me with ROOT (stop shot, from pistoleer 0004)...is that implying that once he roots me that electrolyte drain now is off of me, and goes away?

So in essence, you would have to RE-snare me after the root wears off?

I understand it is a double edged-sword. But like I said in the first post, it seems like all jedi will have to have SL "bodyguards" or BHs will either have to alter their template to incorporate SL (for healing?) or have a friendly SL that is willing to come along on the hunt.

I guess my biggest beef is that the devs seem to be making these changes with a focus on BH and jedi battles but they are forgetting that it is supposed to be 1v1 with no outside intereference. They need to make up their mind. Bring back the TEF battles (which I actually miss) or leave it BH v jedi.

They've taken our power and strength away from us and now they are taking our legs, basically once you get snared your forced to fight as you will be snared/rooted/snared/rooted for however long it takes your force or mind to run out.

Better have your own kind of snare in your template or the bh will just stand at 60 to 80 meters and own you all day long.

i'll make sure to ask the bh to let me walk right up to him before he snares me.

QFE, last time I noticed. BH has first strike in a fight, and with this change will all have a ranged snare that they will lead with.

In Publish 25, I expect to see this in the patch notes:

Combat Medic

*Added a new icon and ability called "Iwin" which can also be used with the UI command /iwin. This command immediately deathblows a melee target from 80M away.

All this would do is codify in a command what they are giving them in Pub 24

If it's being designed as one vs one then they need to immediately stop BHs from being able to take the same mission on one Jedi. Which is what is going on with some servers.
