Jedi Robes
Long awaited are the Jedi robes! Gone will be the days of Jedi running about in armor. The Jedi robe will provide a hidden toughness value that will protect the Jedi, similar to armor, but providing more of a Jedi feel. -TH Jedi archive II

#4 I am so sick of you post cu Jedi. Us Pre-cu, pre-pub9 pre-beta Jedi had it FAR worse. We logged in and had at least 20 BH at the front door and permadeath. Then we had sabertef and every NPC within 2k attacks you on sight, so stop you're whining! I have no trouble with anything with my 720+ saber. Yes an SL can assist if the buff is added before the fight begins, as it should be... for the same reasons that you don't lose doc buffs when the fight begins, they're buffs... Should the SL attempt to change the group buff during the fight the BH would lose the old buff and not get a new one, so they're not actually helping during the fight, they simply gave buffs before it. If a BH has a friend willing to follow him around and buff him all day, so be it. You as a jedi can do the same thing. If the difference of a slight armor increase, a little more damage, a little more action/mind regen, a little more defense, or whatever other buffs the SL provides is the difference of your fight, then maybe you should just run. don't let anyone tell you there's no honor in it. Only an idiot would stand still and die.

lol, well that's not quite what I meant, I get grief for slipping away from the BH I can't kill, they say I have no honor because I won't stand there and die for them, I prefer the satisfaction of knowing I waisted some armor/stims/foods and most importantly time of the BH.

Yeah, that used to be fun, but it's too bad that this last publish, for the most part, has taken away our ability to engage in a tatical retreat to make up for us being nerfed into oblivion....

yeah, those changes have pretty much ruined all the melee professions completely blows my reasons for having FR1, even if I got snared I could still move at a reasonable speed, now we're just snared regardless, then it doesn't help that every NPC in the game can now root and snare /sigh, and the soon to come cloaking BH due to ranger... I demand a system message that tells me when a BH with my mission gets within 500m of me lol... You sense a disturbance in the Force...

I stopped paying attention to those types a long time ago. If they're really that simple that they think they can influence my behavior because someone who wants to take my exp from me doesn't like the fact that I'm not letting it happen....well...I don't waste time on simple people.

OK being a jedi i will say i am not happy about what has happened but i cant be angry with it. If force healer all of a sudden got uber all the jedi would redo there template and start pawning bh's. The fact that the professions that happen to be coming out are useable by bounty hunters, oh well. They will get nerfed or adjusted just aspowers did when it was uber. So sl came out they are taking advantage of it, and can you blame them, if it were on the other end we would take advantage of it too.



Dont blame the bh's as a whole unless they give you personal grief, then thats a personal issue. Dont think this is over, ranger is also coming and that will be exploited, a bh just stands behind you cloaked and all of a sudden boom your dead. This will not get any better til all there professions have been finished up, We still have ranger, then smuggler to go. After all there professions get reworked they will rework ours during the frs it needs to all fit, dont expect anything major for jedi until they get to that point. However it makes me want to make an uber smuggler profession right now. I may not be able to kill them with my jedi right now, but i will try with my smuggler, this would be good to pass the time.

Haha! maybe I missed it but when was powers ever :uber?


There always seemed to be one line or another in the tree that was pretty usefull to dabblers, but I never remember Master powers ever ruling, maybe I'm wrong, 'shrugs'.

And I paid for the 20 man gank squads that came for me when I was grinding.




And now tell the rest of the story, as I also paid for this... We had our own tricks, that NO longer work.


Lets see...

1) We just didn't fight back,and if were smart were in a group aswell, and the rest ofour group could attack the BH, but no one in our group could be attack if us (the jedi) never attacked the the BH back. Even a newbie paddy could use this to escape any gank squads.

2) We could not fight and didn't get a TEF, so we could just run into a structure.

3) We could do a few other undocumentd tricks,or swim60m out if we were grinding on endor.

4) When we were full template, we could hold our own against 5 good non-jedi players, and at the very least put the hurt on them and flee...

(None of these we can do anymore)


Now we are in a world where our sabers are the weakest powered profession weapon (even with perfect pearls)- TRUE.


Now we have the least defenses - even if we take full MD it is only 20ptsmore powerful than a TKM, the state resists are broken since like pub 22, and other melee classes get COB, which is the same as Aura.


Now we can get a SL BH gank squad - yes they can STILL get our missions, especially when additionaly bounties get placed our our heads - go look at 'SS's web site for example - it is worth their time to find our missions, and not that hard considering the $ amounts give it away.


Oh and the SL buffs help the BH in combat against the Jedi, and the SL can even change the buffs an enhance the BH as needed during combat, Only option for a Jedi is to pay for SL body guard - Wow Jedi are the saviors of the galaxy, but they need to hire body guard SLs.


Also even with Valor, Aura, and all the tricks we have if we take Defenses in Jedi (which should just be given to EVERY jedi), we can still be killed in a couple of hits from a good rifleman. Wow, that is fun and fair.


The Alpha Defense class of the game and a BH/Rifleman can two shot the Jedi before the Jedi can even throw a heal.


Oh, and before we could heal as fast as we need to - no timers. Now not only do we have heal timers, ours are the SLOWEST in the game, making Jedi the worst healers in the game. In just PVP, standing toe to toe a Doc/TKM can always take out a jedi,as they can stay healed for any damage the Jedi does, and never run out of force.


Oh, and lets not forget that a BH can get a second Master like Rifleman or Pistoleer, and still get 4xxx in CM, and heal almost as hard as a Doc and faster than the Jedi they are fighting.


Jedi's amazing healing was one of the things that made them uber, even if they didn't have defense - Now Gone.


Oh, and to add to this subject of how much Jedi SUCK NOW.


I am MD/4203Enh/0404LS/4000Heal... So I have basically as much defense for a jedi as you can get in the game. From Innate 70, to Force Armor, to Force Sheild to Force Absorb, to Force Feedback to AI. And just ran an NK mission with 2 other Jedi, one MP/Enhance, other MLS/MD...


With EVERYTHING I HAVE and Food turned on. Aura,Valor,F Sheild, F Armor, Absorb, Feedback, Infuse - the NK hit me for 2800 pts of damage on his second blow - and I TOOK all the damage killing me... I was dumb enough to think it was a glitch, revived myself with my ring, and stood toe to toe with the NK using AI this time, and even with AI stacked, he somehow managed to kill me. (And I am a developer with one of the best high speed connections anyone can buy, so don't me that my 35ms ping and 0% loss packet was the problem there either).


Wow, it is great to have all these uber defenses, to have an NPC have every FORCE ability and be able to basically one hit kill me. He murdered everyone, the only people killing the NK well now are Jedi that have Riflemans in their group or Rifleman, that keep him rooted and snared at +40m the entire time, kite him and don't even have to worry about damage. Wish Jedi was this powerful...


And SOE wonders why we play our Alts with the OLD professions so we can do the 'uber' things, and SOE probably wonders why the worlds are deserted now, after Pub 24, it was the nail in the coffin for so many people, I got 20 emails on one toon alone from people leaving the game..


I know a guild of 100+ players (POST CU numbers, they managed to survive the great CU purge), and there is maybe one person on now EVER in that guild. The rest are off playing WoW and other games... Hmm.... Since of what SOE and Lucas Arts have done to destroy a game when they would usually have 30 people or more on a time that they had to upgrade their ventrillo to handle the guild.


Funny, wonder what the BH's will hunt when the Jedi are gone, and the other players are gone, wonder if they will be happy with all the crying and nerfs they imposed on Jedi then... Oh we cried cause we couldn't kill a jedi and now no one but us plays... Give them something good to cry about and then go back to their pathetic lives.


In a game like this, you NEVER ask for abilities to be removed from other professions or players, if you feel your profession doesn't stack up, then you ask for stuff to be added to your profession. PERIOD. Taking away abilities as Jedi have encounted almost every patch starting at the CU does nothing but P*ss off customers. How can devleopers and SOE be this stupid?


This is about my final straw in this game, and yes I am using this post to Vent.


I was once a good Jedi, not SUPER, but enough more powerful than my Doc/Swordsman that it was still fun to play my Jedi. Now when I want to be 'powerful' in combat, I grab my TKM/Doc and out damage and take more damage and heal faster than my Jedi (and myJedi that has virtually every defense in the game and I worked on for over year).


Fix Jedi, and fix the NPC Ai, and fix the Snare nerf, and fix the XP nerfs, or this is really it for myself and my friends, and I personally have8 accounts I have kept, not because I play them, just cause I could afford them.


And at this point, what IS THERE TO PLAY? - Go be a Jedi and get killed by a NON FORCE Robot with Force power in one hit? Wow, that sounds like fun - I could just play pac-man and run into the ghosts, same fun...

To get two bhs with the same mission just takes time once on figures out your name the other grabs *your faction jedi* missions until your name pos up after the droid is sent out... Both knowing they have your mission can now both attack at the same time... and a SL with them just ensures your death
