Thread: The best kept secret (and we f'ing hate it)
Actually the best kept secret is.............
Eggs? Healthy or not? One minute they are one minute they're not. Are we really confused about this or is it a big conspiracy by the Egg producers. (Personally I believe its the dang chickens behind this one)
But I really have to agree with the above. Heck Dateline can put spies into almost anywhere and find out the truth, and the White House/Congress/DoD always has somebody who leaks info to the news....why hasnt somebody at SOE leaked it.....ohhhh maybe its cause the news agencies pay for their information. Thats it I am starting a collection to bribe a dev.....

Well the way I see it is one of two things:
A: The method to unlock the slot cannot be completed yet due to bugs or incomplete code.
B: The slot is on a set time before it can be unlocked even after you complete the requirements. Like say 4 months. Or maybe a game master must personally unlock it and is waiting for something.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol **edit** gem still pisses me off =).
Well, IF the FS system is based only on mastering 3 random professions, the odds of successfully becoming FS are slim to none. If you have to master3 profs ina certian order, and there are some 32 different professions, that makes the odds of finding the right combination approximately: 1/4960 this means that you would have to try orders of three professions 4960 times before trying them all. In other words: its basically impossible without some sort of hint. Even a super hard-core grinder who could go completely from one elite prof to the next in a month, it would take approximately 1240 years to try all possible combinations of 3 professions.
If, however, order doesn't matter and you just have to master 3 random profs, it would stilltake a hard-core grinder almost three years to try all the profs. Even this is utterly ridicules. If this is the system for becoming FS, the devs suck because it is a totally unimmersive, unimaginative, no-fun stupid system. I sincerely hope that the true FS system is a whole lot better.
This truly is a mystery.
On one hand they can't just tell us how to get it, cause then being a jedi wouldnt be hard. Anyone with time on their hands could sit down and do what the necessary steps are. And on the other hand, If its completely random it would suck because then the people who bust their ass to get the slot wouldnt be rewarded. So they have to comprimise. Make us bust our ass for a chance at opening a slot, thats the only way. There has to be some sort of random aspect to it, but only after they weed out the people who are working hard for it.
