Thread: Force Armor 2 + Force Intimidate 2 + 0404LS & Synthsteak = No Need For MLS?
Please explain to me how you can have a 500 dam 2handed third gen when the top pvp guys need 4 almost perfect (-9 50/50 ) pearls to get a 500 dam 4th gen double blade

My third gen 2h saber maxes out at over 500 right now. With Force Speed 2, I can kill all rancors pretty quickly.
But Barb is right, unless the CU changes things - MLS is the best all-around Jedi mastery. If I do go MLS, however, I'll do it for the defense, not the offense. My offense is pretty good right now.
But, to get MLS, I'm gonna have to forgo Animal Attack, at least until I go Master Powers. The reason? Force Armor 2 + Force Intimidate 2 + MLS is a defensive juggernaut.
And you can't have all that and both MLS+Master Powers. One mastery has to go, and I guess it's Master Powers.

Currently im doing very nice in PvE with only Force Armor 1...
but against a player...
first of all, the fight will take a long time. You can heal, the opponent can heal. 45% synthsteak might sound much, but its out in 30-40 seconds, then what?
Force Intimidate 2 is very expensive, and time out in 1,5min. Force Armor 2 might look good at the paper, but suck up alot of force. It works fine for awhile, but in the end you will have used up most of your force while the MLS guy havnt even started to use his.
Furthermore, when you are both maxed out, the MLS guy will do 65% more damage than you do, thanks to his natural toughness, 4th generation saber and more powerful special.

So maybe I don't need MLS after all, lol.

i made it to master sabers last nite and the difference even with my 3rd gen and old saber4 specials is simply astounding. the specials at master are amazing. the defense in PVE is VERY VERY nice. think of it like the diff tween sabers 3 and saber4...
i just want to make that point for you from having last nite gone from sabers 4 to master the experience is still fresh in my mind. each time i make a major step in progress on my way to master powers master saber heal 4004 every thing i had considered in choosing this path has been confirmed in how i thought it would work.
the only thing missing in master sabers is ranged damage reduction and i get that from intimidate. defender is no substitute.

Yeah, Barb, I gotta do MLS. See my other posts.
My only concern now is time.
time is relative!! when i plug into SWG i do at least one buff on jediness. after that i may go do other things but i ensure i make SOME progress each time i log in. i have a full time job and family. fortunately we are both gamers to the extreme so our weekends tend to be playing. however i have been jedi since november.
a friend of mine has much less play time than i do and he made his template and has re-ground in less time than i have just gotten to master sabers....
the difference i guess is that i KNOW what i want out of jedi. there is no doubt in me so each box i get i know i never have to revist and re-grind. being doubt free is a freedom of itself. i can tell your still not sure. and that is where your concerns are stemming.
one buff a nite at a slow pace is 400k. that is 2million XP a week. you need 35 million to double master. that is 17.5 weeks to finish. much less time than it takes to go through the village to unlock... at master sabers your XP gain goes up because it takes FAR FAR less time to kill something. so 17.5 weeks is an outside estimate...
totally doable if you do one buff each nite not counting weekends...

Just thought I'd mention, if you are using steak in PvP that is not the best option. Steak fills up way to fast IMO. Only time I will take steak is when I immediatly log into the game to go look for someone to buff me. By the time anyone comes for me my stomach is clear.
What you should be using is waffers.True theyhave less damage reductionfor less hits but they only have 5 filling. You can eat those all day compared to 2-3 steaks and your done. Trust me in real PvP when you have not one but multiple people hitting you waffers is the way to go.
In PvP everyone must realize that sometimes the best food is the food that gives you more options. Having less filling gives you more options, like k/d food, vercup, pik pie, ect....
I have a planned strategy, and I have no idea if it would work or not. My template is 4004 Saber, Master Healer, Master Enhancer, and I will likely never ever end up in a fight vs another Jedi. What I need to worry about are BH's that wont be able to be stackers.
Food:
Thaktillo
Vercupti
Exo-Protein
+ Eventually Neutron Pixie
Brandy or Mandalorian Wine
Force Powers:
Force Armor 1
Force Speed 2
Force Resist States
The strategy is to take one hell of a beating, then TotalHeal all back. My HAM will stay at 4500, and I will have 40+25+25=64% armor with very little filling/forcecost.
I wont mess with Jedi, but after I tapped their armorfood (whatever) away, its HeadHit3 FTW.
If all else fails, ForceRun3.
If all else completely fails, Regain Consciousness ![]()
