Makes sense to me. It doesnt give us anything special, just a title. But I enjoy being recognized as an old-school Jedi. Now the only way is when people examine you and go: "holy schnikies!! how are you a Jedi Guardian with no master badges??!".
Just had that happen yesterday lol.
Dark Saber Master is my fav... ![]()

Except that those of us wearing the knight title earned that title by completing the trials, where as you did not. Sure you might have the same template as a lot of the people sporting the tag, but they went through the extra effort and completed the trials....something you didn't do, so they did more than you, which means they put more into it than you, and we all know that anybody wearing the knight title didn't afk grind their template in a week on the Ryatt....

Or a better idea, let's try and split the current jedi community even more. Oh wait, that's what you are proposing. Sorry.
a title is just a word... something to wear over one's head... it gives no extra abilities, or any extra power...just a word...
It doesn't divide the community anymore than the titles already in place... Jedi wearing the Knight title now who are no longer anymore a Knight than I am.... Just a word.
And there are many pre-9 jedi who did not fight-club up to master... so then using your logic, the "jedi Master" title for pre-9 is too much to ask for as well...
And it is not that I did not earn the Knight title... I was so close to earning it when SoE DENIED me the chance to complete it...see what I am saying?
As for your "afk on ryatt" thing...of course not, Ryatt was not around then, but the 0,0 Endor spawn, DWB broken Spawn, Geo Caves broken spawn all were...should I dig those screen shots up for you?
And how is "afk on the ryatt" any less cheap than killing unarmed, unarmored, unbuffed MBH's on top of a Guild hall?

Sigh...full of hate you are. I am a pre-9 jedi, unlocked Feb 06, 2004, never afk grinded a broken spawn, never grinded in a spin group, always hunted solo or on the odd occasions with1 other jedi for protection against TEF'rs in the days of skill loss pre-9. Never once did I fight club, I never progressed more than the jedi knight title because I had no interest in pvp'n or exploiting the system to advance my character past the point of what I cared to reach. Up until I went to the HK47 cave I had 1 death in almost 2 years of playing a jedi character and it was because I role-played my character and didn't feel an overwhelming need to be uber and show off my leet saber skills for all the kiddies.
However, I'm not asking for a new title, or to be given a master title, am I? I was just pointing out that there were people who put in the effort to obtain the knight trial (hence the reason I didn't say master, guardian, templar etc etc because I don't think fightclubbin takes much effort at all). And sure you were close, but you were late gettin on the ball, unlike the people who grinded their arses off during the hologrind and then had ample time to tackle the knight trials.
The jedi profession has always been about all risk vs no reward for the amount of time and effort it took to achieve and then to get to a full template (unless again you afk'd all your FS xp and/or jedi xp with macros), so why do you care if people who put more time and effort into the game than you obviously did are given a title that before was only achievable by exploiting the crap system known as the FRS?

Read my first post in this thread.....
I AGREED that pre-9 deserve the Master title.... I only posted what you quoted when I had it thrown in MY face that by asking for a Knight Title under the SAME logic that all Pre-9 deserve the Master title, i was told I was wrong, because I did not "earn it...."
So I was just saying why should Pre-9 say All pre-9 "deserve" a master title just because they were pre-9, regardless if they actually ever earned the master title or not...then tell post 10-pre-cu Jedi that they don't deserve a "knight" title because they didn't actually attain it?
And for the record... I unlocked in Dec 2004, took me 7 months to complete my temp, all my grind was done solo, and I never camped a broken spawn, even when guildmates BEGGED me too... I was almost done with the Knight trials when the FRS went down for the CU....
So which tree are you barking up again?

My point was about the part highlighted in yellow...they ARE more of a knight than you are even though there are no 'knights' in the current system because at some point they did the work and achieved that title...you did not, doesn't matter HOW close you say you were, you didn't finish. Think of it as doing a project in school, if you don't finish the project you don't get the credit, its that simple.
But I agree that if they give pre-9 the master title then they should give pre-cu the knight or guardian title and so on down the line, because the pre-9 have had it the hardest, have had it the longest, and in the true sense of the word ARE the real jedi elders in this game, having gone through all aspects of the jedi profession and the many changes/nerfs to it, so give them the master title.
meh i deserve the master title! lol not pre 9 but i got to guardian rank without fc... i wanna know how many has done that.. and if it wasnt for darn CU i think i woud b opressor / master..... =/
