As a Jedi who generally tries to role-play (I live in a quiet isolated town on Rori...rarely venture into the major cities anymore) I have grown tired of the people who flock to Jedi because they see it as the ultimate combat profession. I chose to become a Jedi for its iconic status in the films...and I try my best to live up to the standards set by them. PvP has a time and place...even in the die-hard roleplayers...a base or city needs to be attacked/defened...whatever. But the people who only PvP 24/7 and think questing is BS...move on...this isn't the game for you. I believe you can still find quite a bit of Jedi Academy action out there...and there's always BF2. The reason people and the Devs don't respect Jedi is because all the Jedi they see aren't respectable. People play this game to see versions of Anakin, Obi-wan, and other legendary Jedi...not to see some little kid shouting "I'm UBER!!". I remember the 1st time i ever saw a Jedi...i was in awe...but this was back during saber TEF...they tried hard to keep being a Jedi a secret...much like Qui-Gonn did in Episode 1. If people started to treat this game with the right attitude...maybe we wouldn't have had to go thru all these nerfs/revamps. Just my opinion. Call me a carebear if you want (chicks dig carebears).
BTW...I have over a 1600+ (nearly 1700) PvP rating...and it probably would have been higher but I started letting BH's live who drop mission after I incap them.
