(TH) Currently the Armor Certifications look like this:
Bounty Hunter - Assault
Smuggler - Recon
Commando - Assualt
Officer - Battle
Spy - Battle
Medic - Recon
Entertainer - None
Jedi - None
Trader - None
Bounty Hunter - Assault
Smuggler - Recon

Entertainer - None
Jedi - None
Trader - None
So... nope - Jedi can't wear armor.
My question is: How is it balanced if Jedi is balanced with all the other professions now, and yet the other professions get to have armor and Jedi doesn't?

At least part of it is how jedi is the only class I believe that gets bonus agility as we gain levels, which is basically the NGE version of innate armor. So its kind of like it was before, with jedi having natural armor that we don't have to buy.

Threee issues I have seen with this design.
1. The agility defense is not reducing damage equal to the damage reduction of the best crafted armor.
2. Crafted armor does not cost action or willpower to use, Jedi defensive stances do. Unless they change it so that Jedi attacks cost less action and mind than non Jedi specials this is not balanced.
3. Armor will no longer decay so there is no longer a "financial argument" related to non Jedi having better defenses because they have to continualy pay for them.

if i remember correctly saberblock lasts for 20 seconds with a 60 second cooldown timer.

I wouldn't say no defense. We have extremely high agility which acts like armor and we are the only combat class to my knowledge to have defense buffs.
doesnt matter much when we are the only class with no root, no armor, and ranged classes all have roots and cap spray you with blaster fire forever.
Isn't that what saberblock is for? They root and kite you just keep using that till they realize they'll have to switch tactics. Or is there some insane reuse timer on saberblock?

I think this will be balanced sometime soon after the NGE goes live. Remember that Jedi is now a starrting profession and as such they won't be able to completely ignore it like they have in the past.

On a previous note, I thought that a jedi's agility plus our def buffs gave us superior protection then you could get with crafted armor.

Well considering there's a 2 min reuse timer on the THREE SECOND force run, I would guess so.
We are so screwed.......

That's what I'm wondering. Jedi don't even have innate armor anymore. I don't understand.
