um, no. You want to know how the color of a saber is decided? Easy, based on the crystals put into the light saber. And let me tell you, based on the color of crystals short of using rubby or something similar it's a hard color to get. The jedi uses crystals/gems that are significant to THEM, their homeworld, or they sometimes just use whats around. This combination of the crystals produces the color.

Dark jedi almost always have red well because of the way they produce their crystals. The SIth always used synthetic crystals, and probably used identical scources too. They never used natural crystals like jedi sometimes did, and they all probably used the same exact process. Same process, same or similar rescources and your gonna get red 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% percent of the time.


I really don't care if they put this in, but i think it's a retarded waste of time. omg he's a djk with a green saber gah i can't play anymore, yeah right. Get over it, this is a game and people have the right to customize THEIR character the way they see fit. And when at all did i say it would ruin my game play? I just said it's a stupid idea, a waste of time too.

i never said i feel any immersion please scroll up. the reason holding true to continuity would be nice is so this game actually had some immersion

Also, when you retrieve Freedon Nadd's saber from his tomb in KOTOR 2 it's.. yellow if I remember correctly.

He did that because he lost his old one and had to make a new one. Where do you think obi-wan got the saber he gave to luke in ep:4, duh.


edit- your argument holds no water. It's like saying because the kid at school only wears black shirts to school he doesn't have another color shirt at home.

Oh yeah, rebels do wear storm trooper armor. Many many times, it's just not the standard issue combat armor like it is for the empire.

ok i take back everything i said i was wrong ... after seeing all dark jedi with red sabers i just assumed that hehe. my new point of view is that red is the color dark jedi generally pick but there are no set rules... same for light jedi. me however, i like my green saber fine

Just make it so red crystals can be crafted or tuned to any damage type. Come to think of it, that could be good for any crystals. I don't think it is good that people see a lightsaber color and know which damage type it does right away. Plus it would leave Jedi the freedom of choice.
