just like....
all jedi should have healer, not just healer?
oh and all jedi DO have innate armor.
Like +20 armor, which is as good as no armor at all.
Here is a fun test for you, try Aura AND Armor together, I bet your damage will drop to around 200, I have been hit for over 1500 damage from a rifle when I did not realize my force armor was not on.
Right, which is what I saidseveral posts above. Stating defense should be generic is almost like stating that all jedi should have the inherent ability to heal.

Personally i think that that's extremely unbalanced and causes jedi to almost require master defender in their template. Also, it makes jedi that don't have defender or force armour sitting ducks since they can't wear armour. What I think would make sense is to lower how much mdef helps (like say make it mitigate 400 or so) but at the same time add innate defenses to jedi padawan so that a no def jedi would be hit for 700, not 1.6k...and the mdef would still get as much protection as they have. Um...yeah. Not very well thought out but this just seems like it'd make more sense to me...whatever.
This entire thread is a waste of bandwidth, yet I have to respond. Master defender had very little to do with your damage numbers with master defender. Chances are your numbers would have been similar if not less against a player with improved Aura+force armor. Is Aura+Force Armor bad for the balance of the game too? Perhaps we should remove all defenses for Jedi completely, that seems to be the goal you are shooting for!

IMO, force armor sux with my temp, as master powers....powers drains your force so much, and then on top of that, i have force armor which draining everytime i get hit....and im not the biggest pvp guy (xept for the BH i pwn daily), id like to have more defenses against pve stuff, id think a full temp jedi, even if hes powers should be, should be able to solo almost anything as a defender can
i was MLs/master def since the CU....i just respec to master powers with 0040 defender, so i have a good take on the whole thing

mmkay please learn to read. I'm saying that as a jedi i think they should start out with innate armour...i personally think defender or force armour shouldnt be (almost) required for any effective template.

dude, I only have novice defender(because I had 8 skill points to waste) and Dude, I dare a BH to do all that dmg on me.. I actually never have much trouble dealing with BH's damage... If the guy was worth 225k and took 1.6k of dmg He was a Noob or afk or umprepared at all...

with no dfense u require tactics... MLS/MP/enh 2xx3/ nov healer (low heals... cloak and FR1 make up for it... i totally fit the Dark Jedi scenario thingy) here... the damage means nothing to me... i cna cloak and use stims or my low heals then totally unleash a barrage of damage without warning

worth noting that any rifleman with aim + accuracy drink after snipershot would be hitting you for 1400+ even with aura and force armor. get caught without it and you could get stung for over 2500 damage. its all about the alphaattack.
