Hell Yeah it's worth getting. The game isn't about the alpha status, it's about fun and Jedi is certainly fun.

its really not that much work to get jedi now. so i'd say yes. it is worth it. if you dont like it you can always just play your alt. but theres a reason you dont see a bunch of alts running around.

It was worth everything pre-cu and pre-pub 9.

Now it's not worth it. This is coming from a pre publish 9 Jedi with a 775 DPS 1.14 speed and 725 Max damage 10 FC saber.

What he said.

I've found that the MMORPG's I've played are most entertaining when you have a goal to work toward. Jedi introduces a goal for those that have already reached a full template toon and extends the advancement of that goal.

Those that burn outare those that thought Jedi was the nirvana of SWG - it is far from it. If you only have one toon, as mentioned before, you can easily get burned out. The secret to enjoying SWG is variety, if you are tired of grinding, go do quests, tired of quests, go grind, go craft, or just go explore. Or play your alt.

It's beyond me how anyone can say there's nothing to do in SWG. But, many of our younger players are forever saying "What's the fastest way I can master <insert profession name here>?" instead of enjoying the process and the rewarding sense of accomplishment that comes with each box. This is one of the biggest problems with this game, those that want everything yesterday. It's especially true of Jedi. It's why everyone balked at the XP nerf, which was, ifyou paid attention, more in line with pre-cu xp rate.

It was worth it pre-pub9. It was a lot of work to unlock, it was a lot of work to level but it was so damn cool every time you finished a box... Now, it's a lot of work to unlock,22.5 times slower tofinish than a normal template and subject to forced pvp for what in returnis pretty equal to most good combat templates and even inferior to a few.
