hell, i'd pay an extra 5 bucks a month or so if it cost that to be on a pre-cu server, i'd want absolutely nothing more than that right about now...

R.I.P Pre-cu, we miss you...
You should have seen it pre- 9 ... man we were pretty nasty really.
I miss those days as hard as they were... sure we complained but nothing like this and it was 20 times harder then this could ever be. It's funny we got as far as we did without and coaching or guidance.
I too miss those days of respect and honor held alot more water then they do now. I dont know exactly what happend it just kept getting worse over time... I do wish some of you that show care and real intrest in the class that you would have seen that and been part of it. You would have really apriciated the class then even with all its real bugs... not just no "premium pearls".... we had some very very bad ones... then though.

pre-9 was incredible. Just incredible. Jedi was tough to grind, but godly at 4444 guardian... I was reading through the old skill tree (link in sig) and I realized just how much better it was. While I only unlocked in may in the old system, I fought quite a few guardians on my main (and beat most of em too, but that was because I was a better PvPer overall, not from lack of power... if anything, they gave me far harder fights than they should have), and they were definitely better than anything we have now, in addition to having a far harder grind.
It was much more fun despite the difficulty. The boxes came slowly, but when you got one you felt you had earned something and you always got something worthwhile in return -- more force, a new ability, a new attack, etc. The sheer variety is what helped keep it interesting. We are but shadows of our former selves. I hope Keldarin has a very unhappy life.

Yea, bring back pre-CU. That way battles can be decided by who has the hardest hitting MindFire DOTSeriously, and bring back the buff lines so that when no doctors are online to buff you, you can't play the game because you WILL die to anything that is fun to do, simply because your HAM bars aren't high enough to do jack. Not to mention 90% armor, so we can all be gods. Yea, those were the days

Yet another bitter soul. There were so many docs around pre-CU that I had absolutely 0 trouble getting buffs. Dots weren't the end-all be-all, and neither were CMs. I could take ANY CM with absolutely no trouble (hi2u no mitigation or toughness, 3k headhits), and there were a couple people around on intrepid with 800+ action fires or mindfires. I could take em all 1v1. Maybe you should've learned how to PvP.

or post cu where battles will be decided based on who can spam heals the longest without dropping to 0 mind, who has the 75% armor break slices and the most melee/doc templates.

Will these posts ever cease to exist? Not meant as a total and compete flame, but this game is so much better off now than pre-CU (other than the constant nerfs to Jedi, but Jedi have no one to blame but themselves and BH's). We're actually playing together now. When you're looking at those battles, I'm guessing you're looking at battlesWAY before theCU. The six months before the CU, everyone was solo this, solo that. If we had a decent GCW with incentives to do so, those battles would be back. It has nothing to do with the moronic times of go get a doc buff and boom, I win.
I'm sure you won't agree and that's fine, but I know I'm not alone with this.
