Is force valor dependant on the Lightsaber block mod, or does it just stack with it? I'd like to know because I was thinking of doing 0004 Defender with the improved force valor, but I wouldn't do ANY lightsaber...not even novice. Would I still be able to block anything?

Yep it adds a +25 to LS Block so without Novice you could block aslong as you actually HAVE a saber in your hand.

is force valor worth it? i know it looks awesome (against ranged attacks), but does it block enough to get it enough to replace imp sap or 4000 def?

I would say that Force Valor is the luxury of a master defender since he/she has enough innate armor and base melee/ranged defence to "experiment" during pvp/pve.

4xxx def is better then xxx4 since you get little more defence + more innate armor.

After you have Def 0040, you can either go for Def 4440 and then Def 4444 / MDef if that is your goal and you have the SP, or you can go Def 0040 / Enh x4x2 and then Def 0044 / Enh x4x2.

So: If you have Force Armor and Force Aura, you dont really need Def 4xxx and can take xxx4, if you dont have Force Armor the Def 44xx lines are more valueable than xxx4.

i heard that improved valor reduces the dmg u do drasticaly can anyone verify for me thinks

Its description - along with half the other abilities in game - is very misleading
