lucas turned down the first version of the frs months ago...that was the last mention of a real product that was in the works...since then soe has dodged this issue because they havent done anything since lucas arts told them no. thats why you dont have an frs 6 months later.

dude i loved that game growing up, i had finished 1,2,3 all on my old commadore 64.

This I can never agree with. An MMORPG is by definition a game with no "end game". You make you character, you play the game - you live the life of a Jedi in the SW universe. I think if you play thios like a game of space-invaders or like a "closed book" adventure game like Bard's Tale, you are looking at it all wrong.
There is always something to do. Use your imagination.

You wait so long for things because SOE takes forever to get around to working on it. Then they rush it out. So yes, we may wait a year for the new FRS, but it still won't have more than 2-3 weeks of Dev time put into it.

Some of you people need to lighten up and quit grinding.
To most of us, the FRS is just a nice addition to the rest of the game. Every day I see people getting mad that it's not here.....time to put up or shut up, moaning about it won't make the FRS come any sooner. Try just PLAYING the game instead of moaning about it. Either that or cancel accounts, either way suits the rest of us just fine...

The fact that Pub 24 basically vanished when Beta testing started for ToOW lends credence to this.
So much for having seperate teams working on all this stuff simultaneously huh?
Another good indicator that this dev-team is woefully understaffed.

You are right... they did say this in a Dev chat. And in another Dev chat they got the response from Lucas Arts giving them the go-ahead on the new FRS. That's the last anyone ever heard of it.

I've been saying all along January. TOOW will suck their resources until after the 4th quarter. 1st quarter there is nothing going on until they start ramping up for the 2nd quarter release (business cycle people). So sometime in the first quarterof 2006. If it doesn't come then, it never will.

It all comes down to money. If SOE was a person, Marketing would be the brains and customer service/satisfaction would be at the rear.

I continuously read every FRS post, always to be disappointed by the dark empty lies that float seamlessly through the forums, one day i shall find the truemessage about FRS, and i wont believe it. Kinda like the boy who cried wolfphilosophy. But as SW fans wetreadonwards into the night as we valiantly search for the true date of FRS.......one day...one day.......(DEVS GET ON THE BALL PLZ!!!)

We waited for the Cu for like 6 months, and what did we get? the worst addition to the game yet. some things arent worth the wait, like subway sandwiches........
