The fact is SWG PvP sucks post-cu and this is only one of the reason why. I liked it a lot more when all I had to worry about was 1k+ dmgmelee weapons and fire knives.

It's been brought to their attention. They are not ignoring it. EVerything can't get a 24 hour fix like many people believe in these forums. I mean it takes how ever long it takes. Impatience is what's really killing this game if anything. People want things fast and quick without working for it or without paying dues. I really can't blame them though, it's how society is now days. Technology really spoils us all. If a meteor was to hit this planet today, 95% of the people could not continue to function if they lived through it because they don't have their precious technology to aid them. this is the same menatility I see in the game. People want the devs to fix stuff quickly and at the same time give them all the easiest methods to play the game. Noone wants to put in dues and that breeds unappreciation. Sorry to go overboard with this, but hey, that's how it is.

Anyway, I know they are working on a fix for this /bug.I won't rush them though because I want it done right. So you'll never see me posting on the forums about fix this or fix that. The more productive method is to send in /bug reports and not the same one over and over again. Chances are your not the only one who's sending in the same /bug.

IN the meantime, the best advice I can give to people that are irratated by this /bug is to simply stop pvping. in the case of jedi, do all you can to stay off the terminals so your not hunted if this /bug affects you this much. it's as simple as don't live amongst the wolves and expect them to not bite you. Though if you do choose to live amongst them, if they bite you, then bite them back. It's only fair and it will not allow you to be somebodies whooping bag.

I know intentionally using a /bug or broken game mechanic is an exploit, but when it's the way this current speed /bug is, then I'd rather use it against an opponent who's using it against me rather than let them whoop my arse up and down the server. I will never come to the forums and cry that a BH used the cooldown /bug on me and yell "DEVS please fix this". I'm sorry, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. This is war, not a playground, there is no morality in war. Therfore, an exploitable game will always be exploited. I don't agree with using them, but I won't stand by and allow someone to use one on me and expect the devs to do anything about it.....in this case, there is nothing they can do right away, due to the way this /bug works. It is often done unintentionally more so than intentionally. THere is no way to separate the abusers fromthe accidents.

Bottom line is that the devs know about this and they are working on it. Just because they don't inform us to their progress, doesn't mean they aren't taking measures to insure the issue is fixed. Just remember, the only obligation the devs have to us is that they are working to make the game playable and hopefully enjoyable. Everything else they give us is a luxury...So everyone, don't expect the devs to keep us informed like we are their boss.....we can't hire and fire them, nor can we tell them what to do....our monthly payments don't grant us that much power.

HardWired,

The problem with your advice is it assumes that the SOE position won't change on this exploit and that they won't start looking to see if it is being used. There is no reason to ever use an exploit. It does not matter if it is being used against you, using it yourselfdoesn't make it right or fair. If SOE does change their position and do start banning people for using it, do you want to get banned just because you decided to level the playing field by exploiting yourself.

I understand the frustration, I just think the best way to deal with this is to continue to submit tickets, so it can be seen how wide spread the problem is. I doubt the Dev's, CSR's, etc. read these forums regularly. So the only way to let them know of problems is through the in game mechanics provided, ie. /bug or CSR tickets.

imo something like :

Nub uses saberpowerattack on you for 1200 points of damage

Nub uses saberpowerattack on you for 1200 points of damage

Nub uses saberpowerattack on you for 1200 points of damage

all in 9 seconds is alot more important to get fixed than lighting and so on.
