Here is one guy with the correct answer and since beta this is true.

NOW THEN TO ALSO CLEAR UP SOMTHING SO THAT YOU CAN GET THIS STRAIGHT!

OK:

So we DO NOT HAVE TO SAY THIS AGAIN TO THE NEW GUYS!

FACT ONE:

Did you get hunted in the village????? NO! Why because at that time of your FS grind you have no pink bar and are not a JEDI RIGHT? Ok good

Did a BH stop you that day you were doing the last phase quest for unlock??? Did he kill the old man coming to you with the last misson for Malichie?? Did he come up and say "YOU CANNOT UNLOCK???"

Did he stop you from killing Malichie -- did he kill you before you got your PINK BAR OF FORCE? Did he shoot you?? Did he say "HEY YOU STOP UNLOCKING!"

Did you say"NO"TO ANY OF THESE????

If so then guess what ... YEP THAT IS RIGHT! THE BH'S DO NOT CONTROL THE POPULATION!!!!

They do not stop you from unlocking , they do not stop the second charachter creation.... they do nothing about that at all... IN fact they cannot even hunt you until your on the terms with a nice pink bar of force!

Ok, so while you newer guys think that some guy says or a CSR says (Which if you have been here 6 months you would know how much that holds water).. THAT NOBODY CAN STOP YOUR UNLOCK!!! No BHs, No Chefs, No Dancers , No class at all.

Now then, BH's job is to hinder your speedy progress as a Jedi -- THAT is the truth plain and simple... THATS IT.. they dont control your "unlocking" or the population... that would be the SOE DEV DEPT. At fan fest they have made this clear more then once...

SO THINK ABOUT IT NEXT TIME YOU SAY THEY ARE THERE TO CONTROL THE POPULATION.

That will be all today in Isks class for the new guys not thinking this statement through.....

"I mean think about it... How many BH's hunted you while you were grinding to unlock????" -- Hmm Im gonna guess 0

Jedi dominate PvP, PvE and the GCW.

Looks like Jedi FTW.

No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

Remember... to Cancel you have to go to Register Expansion in the Launchpad.

SWG is a big failure money wise form what they thought it would be SOE has said that themselves. Some of that is because not everyone loves SW some of it beacuse the Devs on this game suck.

BH's were always suppose to be jedi population control.

Actually, it's supposed to be BH vs. Smuggler and jedi vs. jedi.

lol, where have you been? BH arent the only ones with terminals. There is um, Artisan terminals for crafters, entertainer mission terminals, explorer terminals, general mission terms for the hunter types. ALL the other classes have their general types of terminals. Jedi are the only ones without mission terminals or quest givers.

Evengiven the fact that the BH-Jedi system in SWG is one of the most poorly designed game systems I have ever seen I can not believe that it was the designers intention that some players should grief and harrass other player to the point of them quiting the game. So I would say, no, BH is not Jedi population control.

"If you can't take the BH attacks, don't play the Jedi." <----- That right there is the oldest most retarded remark a player could make. I joined this game to play a jedi, same reason anyone buys Kotor, to play a jedi, or any SW game really. I cant help that the BH-Jedi issuesare crap. Dont play the jedi? How about you shut your mouth and we will both be happy,no onewants to hearyour ignorant and rude flaming. Same goes for the caps lock moron. I know Bh cant stop the unlock process, but they sure as heck try their best to make jedi players quit by griefing, thus, *gasp*, controlling the jedi population. Next time, turn on some common sense when you login to post.

You seem to be missing the point. You say you came here to play as a jedi; did you take time out to read up on what that would involve? It's been said from day one that jedi is a hard profession (unfortunately one that's got easier over time) and that you would expect attacks from bounty hunters. But still you went for it....knowing that you would be attacked.

His short, terse statement is absolutely correct. If you don't like the "griefing" then don't play the jedi. There's just as many professions out there with similar abilities to jedi. It's within your choice structure to not play the game at all if it's too disappointing for you. I would suggest that the majority of us like the system that's in place for forced PVP. Players vote with their money, and I'm sure more would leave if you got rid of the BH/jedi relationship than if you kept it as it is now.

Did you just crawl out from under a rock or something? Of course BHs are Jedi population control! Any BH who denies this must be under the same rock.

Jedi was never meant to be easy, it was meant to be the HARDEST profession to achieve. What all these new Jebay don't understand is that Jedi are supposed to be played by those who like the challenge, and the reward is that they get to be a rarity and more powerful than Joe Noob FOTM.

I've realized that the hologrind wasn't originally meant to be a directed grind, the system was in place so that the Jedi would be players that are knowledgeable in all aspects of the game, hopefully creating Jedi who are a little more mature than the "pwning" and "whining" Jeteye we have so many of. The real Jedi don't whine, they know that their characters arent supposed to be easy to play. Of course the holocrons killed the idea in favor of getting Jedi now to calm the frustrated crowds. The system was in place, but there were so few of these Jedi calibre players that the Devs needed to kickstart the system.

The system was never created to allow Jedi to hit full temp in a month. BH help slow the progress a little bit, tho not as much as they would with ye olde fashioned permadeath, and maybe not as much as they should since Jedi still seem to spend their points in absurdly short periods of time. If you can't take the BH attacks, don't play the Jedi. You can always the FOTM template that so many are whining about instead. However, if the BH is harassing you outside of game mechanics, please report them, as that is unacceptable.

You can't stop people from wanting to be jedi, that's impossible. And it wouldn't be fair tio start limiting players before they get there. Sure, you could suggest that players get hunted as soon as they visit the village, but then how would CL1 crafters be able to progress to jedi with enforced PVP?

As it stands, I see very few jedi flaunting themselves about, and that's what matters. The game could be 99% jedi, but as long as they're not SEEN to be jedi then the game goes on as it is now.

If the MBHs hunts a jedi so much that the jedi starts playing his alt, then the MBHs' job is done.
