Have you tried double clicking the station? This should usually bring up the interface for the first tool in your inventory....

after hearing and reading about the upcoming changes as harsh as this may sound I honestly wouldn't bother as ur likely to be given a ready made saber with all the stats u'll need when these changes take place.
As far as i'm concerned at the moment SOE are saying thanks to all you people who have payed to play a game you enjoy so much for the past 2 years, and working hard on obtaining Jedi (after all thats what most people play it for), but now we'd like to say F**K YOU we're going to shaft you so bad ur A**Hole will hurt cos we're now allowing everyone to become a Jedi from the start. Oh yeah we're also going to call this new change Star Wars Galaxies : Jedi Knight AcadamyEdition

silly question but do you have LS experimentation points bases on skills?? do you have either MLS or xxx4???

Make sure you have just a LS crafting tool in your inv, then try double clicking on the crafting station. This should bring up a crafting process with your crafting tool. I could not experiment either, and this fixed it for me.

I am using a weapon crafting statio...I have tried double clicking...and the ready made LS is not what I want

lol first I gave a possible solution to fix this.
But now I'm standing in my house, in a research center city, with my skill modded clothes on and name everything else I need but I cannot experiment either.
I tried everything

Have you tried Disabling an option under Ctrl+O? There is an option thats called "Skip Crafting Processes". (Or something similar) It's somewhere under one of the option tabs. Try looking for it and disabling it, because alot of people can't experiment because it skips the process.
Btw there is nothing in the options that even looks remotely close to that except for confirmation messageswhen crafting.
