Why should it do fire? If anything it should be bleed. I would like saberslash to be more useful though

Actually a lightsaber should never cause anyone to bleed or be on fire. If you know anything about lightsabers from the books and movies, they just cut through things like a super hot butter knife.
For example, Anakin and Luke get their limbs cut off in the movies. Do they bleed? No. Why? Because the blade energy is so hot it would cauterize the wound (basically and insta-scab). Also, their clothes didn't get caught on fire when their limbs were cut off either, so a fire DoT wouldn't make sense either.

Becouse we speak about an Energy beam that burns through thick blastdoors. I do not see how you can make something bleed with a superheated beam. Burns maybe. In all the movies, the Energyblasts that hit stormtroopers caused a flame from the "bullethole". In the ep 2-3 saberduels each "wound" they made, created a burnmark, and I believe Anakin was burning after his legs where cut off.

So if anything, a Lightsaber's damage should either be Fire, or 100% wounding, but not "bleed".
The reason why Anakin was burning is because the pool of lava that splashed up onto his legs, not because he got owned by a lightsaber. I agree in that I think it's silly to have the idea of a lightsaber causing something to catch fire, much less bleed.

I cannot disagree there... although I still say Fire is better than Bleed if any dot should be given.

Also there's the option of making Lightsabers causing 100% wounds instead of regular damage.

I somewhat agree with you there. Perhaps not 100% wounds, but instead of DoT damage, Saber Slash could increase wound chance by 50% or so. I think that would be a nice tactical move then, since you can permanently force your opponents health to go down, and stay down. Would also make the x4xx line of a Healer a little more viable.

One thing I hated about BF being gone. One of the great advantages of Master healer was you could keep your BF down as well as wounds while the other players built up. Eventually it made enough difference that it would start having an effect on even Melee Stackers.
I agree adding wounding chance would be something nice or maybe a speed debuff of some kind. Something minor, not anything massive
