LEARN TO READ, EVERYONE CAN BE 90.

The only thing Elder Jedi get is, a Crystal, a new type of saber, and they can be blue glowie, so basically for killing 2 million pickets you get nothing.

and a robe that offers more protection.

IV. New Veteran Player Loyalty Rewards

We are offering current active characters several loyalty bonus items in recognition of their status in the game community as valued veterans.

* Elder Buff - Increases to combat abilities, this buff can be shared with new players.
* Elder Title - In recognition of your status in the game as a valued veteran player.
* Profession Re-Allocation Option - All characters active prior to the introduction of the new game enhancements will receive a total of 9 re-allocation options or charges attached to their character to allow the player to test out each of the new professions once before choosing the final path.
* Jedi Bonus Items - Power-enhanced Jedi Robe and Lightsaber color crystal and the opportunity to play as transcended blue glowing Jedi character.
* 10 Additional Combat Levels - New combat levels to explore from level 80 - 90.

It's for all veteran players, Jedi only get the JEdi Bonus items on top of the vet rewards. Blue Glowie wow, the new players won't care you think that we are just going to sit around the starport as Blue Glowie, and new players are going to come up and say, "man your cool because your blue" no they are going to be to busy showing their lightsabers off to their friends to care about your notions of being great. Trust me the New PLayer base will whine that they can't get blue glowie, and in about 6 months to a year after all the vets are pacified they will just make it a vet reward, along with all the other Jedi bonus items.

It says Vet reward, not Jedi vet reward. Probably anyone who is active when this thing goes in will be able to attain CL 90. The only Jedi specific part of what you posted are the robes, crystals and blue glowie.

Do you think that they will not put a huge penalty on being f.s? With LA in charge I bet some changes are coming there too.... I just bet...

We can only hope that F.S. will be hunted down... or a timeline change... or something

I find it hard to believe that these extra 10 levels will be available only to vet players. I think what they are implying is that because you are already level 80, you will be able to start the progess toward level 90. The whole reason they are doing this revamp is to truely balance the combat system and give new players a more level playing field. Allowing only vets only to progress to these extra cl levels would totally undermine that. Then again, and as always, this is soe....

For those of us who have been around for quite a while and have a jedi-- cl 80 or no... Is it correct that we will be the only ones who get to go from cl 80-90? If that is true, giddee up! We actually will be the studs... I know my jedi isn't tough but he's still a jedi and i've been playing for two years, so that reward is pretty sweet. I am really excited to see the changes/new game. I know the grinding all seems like it was for nothing, but if you think about it, we were wasting time sitting in front of a computer anyways more to get a jedi and play a star wars game than to worry about time during that time. (Boy that was clear). Anyways, I am excited to see it and can't wait to be cl 90 when 80 is the max for all the other toons.

That would make you uber.

Hmm.. where do these 10 extra levels actually come from? In the current system levels are gained by training skill boxes. In the new system I would assume that when you train all of the skill boxes there are in your class (professions are dead ), you'll be level 80. How will you get the other 10 levels?

you don't train skill boxes anymore in the new system though, it's like a single branch, once you get the exp needed you automaticly get the next skill.

the only thing the cl's 81-90 would give us is more damage PVE and slightly higher ham...

/shrug

I do believe it's for all vet players tho, and not attainable by new players, since it's not gonna be that big of a difference in pvp

From my understanding the actual CL levels arent goin to mean a whole lot other than increased HP and regeneration. The game will take some aiming skill for both ranged and melee toons to win in a battle. Its not quite FPS but very close from what Ive heard. Melee/ranged Def and accuracy is out the window and each player is responsible for hitting their target. So, I wouldnt put much into the CL additions. This firday we should get a taste of thie first phase of the new combat and go from there. The full combat functionality wont come for a good 4-6 months when they fully implament the collision maps for more accurate FPS style hit detections.
