I never understood the whole 1.5 X elite profession theory. I think most jedi tempaltes are more than 1.5 powerful your average equipt double elite. The problem is that jedi are what they are, and besides some skill tapes and pearls (currently not dropping suficcently), we can't improve ourselves. We can't pop food or spice to increase our regen, we can't power up our weapons, we can't slice our weapons, we can't slice our armor. We have our template, bioclothes, tapes, and cyrstals/pearls.

The thing is, the elite professions are able to make up that .5 - 1difference and then some with high energy resist armor, armor break resist slices, krayt tissue crafted weapons, 100% modifiedweapons, PuPs, etc.

Jedi need to be high damage because we will never win an endurance race with the force bar limitation. Elites only have to root/status us, sit down, regen, and attack again at full steagnth facing a jedi who now has less force. Not to mention the fact that you can stack mind food so that even a MCM throwing constant poisons, snares, debuffs, etc, has no problems keeping his mind near full at all times.

I agree 100%, we could really use some idea of where the Jedi profession is heading. No ETA's are fine but some fresh insight would be an incredible gift to us. SOE, we are in the dark here please give us some light......

Well if I were in the dev's shoes, I would not create a new "vision statement". I could not keep my last vision statement. Why would I want to pigeon hole myself into other "promises" I cannot keep.

I would much rather not have a vision policy and be yelled at for making changes than give you a vision statement and get yelled at for making changes, AND going against my vision statement.

Besides, they would need a vision, which as it is plainly obvious, they no longer have.

So True. Visions are gone, it's just a job now, and they're just trying to hang onto those jobs for as long as possible.

I would love to hear em answer that because 50% of the community will leave any way it is answered.

There is too much hate of the Jedi now due to the postings and actions of a minority. The Devs will not risk posting a Vision Statement for the Jedi profession in fear of angering others (BHs, Smugglers, GCW enthusiasts, CL 1 crafters, etc...).

As a previous poster mentioned, the Dev quotes we have regarding Jedi are quite irrelevant. The Jedi are now adrift in a sea of rumor, hate and class warfare (pre-publish 9 vs. pre-CU vs. post-CU). It's a shame that LA and SOE are content to sit back and let this situation continue. Surely they're reading the forums and are seeing how the community is tearing itself apart.
