Perhaps you should change your post to "Grouphunting Combat Professions", because it applies to all the other fighting profs as well. I don't entirely disagree with what I think your intent is with this post, but it doesn't only apply to Jedi...
Of course it appeals to all professions. That was part of my idea to silly the entire combat system in this game. But the reason I chose to post this in the Jedi forum was because is this really the way of the jedi? It isn't half as obsurd watching a carbineer slaughter tons of creatures but whena jedi runs along it makes me ponder about what the heck this game is trying to point out.
I also just complain about how combat works in general in this game, that this is just brainless booring AoE combat. I have made a post about combat and it is right here >>

To discuss how all feel about the combat as it is. But if i draw a quick example of other games, which is the flaming reason number one of most users, in Guild Wars the combats are actually mind challenging and you are engaged fully. I just get the feeling in SWG that combat ain't either fun, engaging or variating.
I think the game would be funnier with more challenge, that you don't reallly need to kill 20k creatures to reach your master skills. But if beating on bigger creatures takes longer time and gives more exp, smaller creatures gives lesser creatures and perhaps then you must kill 20k of them. Now smaller creatures gives 1xp and no matter the creatures size you get around 5k max. I just dont find it reasonable. But perhaps you do, anyways. Discuss at my post or here : P

Want to be a master smuggler so you can slice weapons? Kill 20,0000 pickets!
Want to be a master rifleman so you can deal damage from under cover at max range? Kill 20,000 pickets!
Want to be a master squad leader so you can use clever tactics to lead your team to victory? Kill 20,000 pickets!
This game is grind-centric, not quest based. We all have to kill stuff to advance.

Jedi hunting in groups:
Does it follow continuity? No
Is it easier to do than the old solo grind? No
Would I love a return to the Pre-CU ability to solo grind? Absolutely
IS IT THE ONLY WAY TO REACH FULL TEMPLATE IN UNDER 10 YEARS OF SOLID GRINDING?????
You have your answer right there.

Im sorry, but post-cu is so much easier than pre-cu grinding its not even funny. Ive ground out 2 jedi - one in each system. In the old system you would be lucky to get the first novice box within 3 hours. A 200k box would take at least 2 full buffs. I managed 500k xp in a little over an hour yesterday grinding xp in a group compared with a max of 1 mill xp a buff session in the old system. The main diffrence is you couldnt do 1 mill xp in a buff until you were pretty much done, where as now its possible as soon as you get your first area attack.
