I can also confirm this. FS trees can be changed.....I had to grind combat xp (old nades) before they nerfed the fs conversion ratio for combat xp...I dropped the survival tree and picked up melee speed, but could only do so after I have the completed 7th tree....then I was able to drop one FS tree to regain my skill points.

I hold out hope (probably foolishly) that they will revamp Jedi, fix the bugs and create content for Jedi. I really want to try this, I'm just worried if it backfires on me, I can't say I didn't know, as the CSR talked to me several times./Glares at Red Button (Marked Do Not Push)

What have you got to lose?..The worse case is that you will get a message stating you cannot drop those skills....Trust me and others here...It can be done....I even started grinding out another tree to drop dump veh control and pick up melee accuracy...just now the conversion ratio sucks so bad it's discouraging....

Be nice if we could have a conversion ratio for jedi xp.../grin.

Yes, once again the CSRs show how much they knowabout the game.

A few months ago, I gained the LUCK FS Tree, and dropped the Ranged Acc tree AFTER I got Luck filled. I kept all my skills just fine. They are plain WRONG.

I have a friend that got Survival, and dropped ranged speed. Later I'm going to pick up ranged Def, (If they fix how that works) and drop something else.

I can't imagine how but *maybe* the CSR misunderstood him... I'm just kidding. Funny how a CSR doesn't know what works and what doesn't. Sadly I am not suprised.

What does he have to lose? Skill points. If he grinds up a 7th branch and and finds out he can't drop one, he's stuck with 7 branches. Then he'd have waisted points locked up in a branch he can't use elsewhere. I suppose it means it would be technically impossible to acheive a full template if he decided to have another go at Jedi. Don't get me wrong, I know you can drop trees if you have a 7th, but the OP didn't so he was right to be worried, lol.

Well question is, how many of you who successfully did this where pre-cu jedi or had jedi before pub 9? it may be an issue where if your an old jedi, you can do it...if you unlocked later (when the game code changed) then you might not be able to do it. It's possible the CSR's info is derived from that. Then again, he may not know what the heck it going on with it. Remember, CSR's are not the devs, they only know what they are told and have no way of proving what they know. It could be as simple as a dev told him you can't do it, but that dev had no idea the code was changed and therefore false info gets around.

Only real way to find the answer is try it yourself or like someone said, have a dev test it out on TC.

You can change your branches, the only problem is you have to grind out and train a 7th before you can drop one you have, and jedi xp cant be changed into FS xp, so full temp Jedi are stuck.
