Thread: A Fond Farewell to the True Jedi...
I would say this is by far the best post I have seen in a while. Thank you.
I am sure you would have made an excellent jedi.
This is a very good post! I wish that we could have all had time to "earn" Jedi the hard way pre patch 9 with the holo grind that way everyone who truly wanted to be a Jedi could do it but not by macroing it or finding some cheesy way to attaint the profession. I truly feel cheated that now everyone who has not even considered the fact will now become one. I believe people who posted this thread respected people like us and it was always appreciated when you said you had something that five thousand other people didn’t this is a sad day indeed...
P.S. This was a good post I wish you had a chance to earn jedi as well.
It's too bad SOE makes Darth Vader/Bespin type deals with the player base.

I unlocked Jan 7th 2004
Became a "Jedi Knight" pre-9, got up to 4/4/4/4 guardian right before patch 9.
Finished the knight trials over a YEAR ago now...
Could have got into a MBH FRS grind group and moved up to "Master" like some. Chose not to, and on my own only got to rank 1 on my own.
Currently run around with my Jedi Knight title because thats the only thing that sets me apart from all the current grinders that cant get that one thing.
I am a TRUE Jedi Knight!!! They can take my title but that will never take my experiance!!!
You sir Have inspired me, and I /bow and may the force be with you as well!!

However, since these changes are following fast on the heels (or fingers) of the devs and their keyboards of injustice, I know for certain that I will never become a true jedi, like you are. Unfortunately, as I have no time left after college, homework, and my job, I have no time to unlock my FS slot. I know all of you jedi can fondly remember the day you finally unlocked your jedi characters, the pride you felt, the sense of accomplishment at completing some of the most demanding quests in the game, and the joy at joining the most elite (difficult to attain) profession in the game.I hate to say it, but I am saddened at the prospect of never truly becoming a jedi, and I do say that it does deserve to be the best class, on the basis that it is the hardest to get. I agree that the jedi class seems to be overpowered, duh, it is called "The Force" for a reason, I suggest if you want to whine about it you should try to get on the giving side, not the taking side. I know that I certainly would like to earn a spot on that side. I can even fondly remember a time when I looked up to jedi with a heroic admiration. I have met many jedi in my day, and I can honestly say, those jedi are a credit to SWG, they never spoke a word in anger to anyone who did not deserve it, never raised a saber against good, and never walked away from those in need. You are a class to be admired and respected. While it is true that there are those who have abused the game, and abused players, the majority of you are honest, kind hearted people. I hope to meet many of you on the frontlines for good, and I hope to fight by your sides in the name of Galactic Freedom and Justice. This is for the most decent, and honorable profession in the game, and to the members who made you that way, it has been an honor to know so many great jedi, and so many great people.Goodbyeand...May The Force Be With You/salute![]()

Thank you...
Thanks guys, it really means a lot. Hope to see you on the battlefield someday soon.
I guess those who carry themselves with honor are rewarded with respect, those who carry themselves with dignity are rewarded with pride, and those who help the fallen are rewarded with the friendship of their peers.
May all downtrodden find a hand to help them rise, a firm base on which to plant their footing, and a light to guide their path.
Very nice post
