All FRS PVP under the old system was gank vs gank and if they had the slightest chance of losing the opposition would run away.

It was godawful.

Go PVP normally, use your alt or something, do quests, roleplay, organise an event for your server, grind space.

If you are that lacking in imagination then go play battlefield 2 or something.

The old system was based on gank because it was flawed, in fact the whole system of PvP where you lose more than you gain is flawed, other games seem to have vibrant PvP (e.g. WoW and DAoC) in those you gain something by doing it but do not lose any for dieing encouraging people to fight to the death.

Personally I've done my alt, done the worthwhile quests and mastered pilot and roleplaying is for roleplayers I'm a PvPer kthx.

Whilst I don't lack imagination I DO play BF2 instead of PvPing in SWG (which I would be doing if the FRS was in place) because it provides advancement, something which SWG PvP does not currently provide. I play a persistent game because I want advancement that actually means something within a community, if all I was interested in was achievement I could get this from any of the single player games available. SOE has to realise that is the reason why I and many others play this game and without it we will reluctantly go elsewhere to find it (as many have already done and I'm >< far from doing myself)

We're on a MMORPG the PvP is going to be ganking no matter what because there is no limit on how many people can be overt in one place at a time, until that changes there will always be ganking.

I have to Agree with Labtec on this one.. I too miss the FRS and look forward to having a personal goal to look forward too again once it's back on. However the good thing I see is that the longer we wait the better (Chance) we have of them making the new FRS good and not the broke pice of crap it was before.... (One can only hope anyway)

I'm in the same boat as you. I miss having a goal to work for, pvp means nothing right now except for pvp rating but that is absolutely worthless.
