IV. New Veteran Player Loyalty Rewards

We are offering current active characters several loyalty bonus items in recognition of their status in the game community as valued veterans.

• Elder Buff – Increases to combat abilities, this buff can be shared with new players.

• Elder Title – In recognition of your status in the game as a valued veteran player.

• Profession Re-Allocation Option – All characters active prior to the introduction of the new game enhancements will receive a total of 9 re-allocation options or charges attached to their character to allow the player to test out each of the new professions once before choosing the final path.

• Jedi Bonus Items – Power-enhanced Jedi Robe and Lightsaber color crystal and the opportunity to play as transcended blue glowing Jedi character.

• 10 Additional Combat Levels – New combat levels to explore from level 80 – 90.

-now where does it say that the Elder title is ONLY for jedi? its for all veteran players.

-2nd, so you played the game from the first day, so you ground through 32 profs to make jedi, how does that make you better then village jedi? you used the game mechanics available to you, we used those available to us. same goes for those who unlocked after the first CU. the point of this is to recognize all the jedi who went through the grind. well can all agree that village grind, prof grind, pre cu grind, post cu grind, isnt easy (yes, some people AFKed on Kashyyyk to advance, but they did it in the squill cave to before the CU, so that argument is moot). but we all perservered, we achieved our goal. we wanted something nad we worked hard to get it. we are being recognized for that fact. as opposed to those who will now take jedi cause its easy.

Good Grief, no you did not-- Man...Look, village people it WAS NOT THE SAME... starting with the fact you did not lose a entire saber just by crafting it... yeah, start there-- now lets keep going. Shrines? Nope clone camped for the win on this one. Pearls? Harder to get-- alot and they were pricey in a different economy then. Risks? Yeah PERMA DEATH AND SKILL LOSS..... Hello! I made 3 freaking toons.... due to this.. At no way was post 10 even that risky -- just 200k by any death and BH visit was nothing compared to having to park your jedi not knowing if your going to lose it all the next time you log in... Now then I wont continue BUT please do NOT compare pre 9 to post 9 -- If you did not do both..

Risk vs Reward was in full swing pre 9 trust us on that... Hell there is so much more, lol Man what I hated the most was making a 30 million dollar saber and it going poof ... not to mention 0 terrian nego --- lol we were the slowest people in the game lol. Go figure.

I would have much preferred Jedi equivalent class but only unlockable after you at least master a regular profession. I know it's more 'canon' to start as a youngling then go to padawan etc, but they are basing Jedi on Puke Skywalker who didnt follow that path anyhow. Jedi as starting profession rubs me the wrong way.

While on that subject. Could there possibly be a less popular Jedi out of the major movie Jedi than Luke?

You did the Jedi Villiage and then did a power grind for two months and think you should be an Elder? What a load of crap. Try playing since 2003, 13 professions, and doing the entire Jedi Villiage! Us Old Schoolers are the ones who earned our stripes as Jedi in this game and spent plenty of cash playing since 2003. I vote nay for the noobie Jedis who think they should get Elder status. Yeah, I am a full template also for those who have to know.

even better - i say they find out the exact hour i unlocked my jedi and don't let anyone be an elder after me. if you did it after me, then you must be undeserving. it is all about me. the original poster might be excluded, but i guess thats the haps on the craps yo

so basically your saying because you bought the game ealier than some people, you are better than them?

Don't piss on the people that did thier grind in a different system. how were they supposed to grind the same way you did when the old system was taken out of the game?
It's not like they could choose btw the village and the hologrind. Both systems were not in place.

The oldest players are the group that got the changes made in the first place.

We shall see, hope its at least fun and decent.

I hope so. Pre-9 jedi really did something more, than anybody. Even after P-9 grinding became extremely easy with the bugged spawns in the Geo Cave, late in the DBW.

Don't all people playing the game now get Elder status as a loyalty reward? Or am I reading the FAQ wrong?

They have to draw the line somewhere and it just seems to me that from a coding standpoint it iseasiertocheck for whoever is a Padawan when this goes live and give themthe rewards. I unlocked two Jedi myself...one pre 9 on my 30th profession and another in the village. I thought thepre 9 was much easier to unlock with holo-grinding than the second one doing the village and gathering all that accursed fs xp. The pre 9was alsomuch harder to grind as a Jedi though with multiple BH on me constantly, solo grinding and very low xp gains.

Both were difficultin their own way though and the "reward" for my pre 9 unlock was the wonder and mystery of beinga Jedi during a time when it was much more special than it is now. No dev or vet reward they could give me could be better than that and people who unlock now can never get that feeling I did pre 9. Having done both though I wouldn'tbegrudge anyone who braved that fs grind from getting the same reward as me...especially some of these guys who had to do the vast majority with a 30:1 combat xp turn-in rate.

You missed the entire point. This has nothing to do with betters or deserves perse.. just facts.

pioneer vs follwing... See this is like trying to explain somthing that you can't know, due to you were not here. NOT anything but Facts man... no hate no lies , no nothing. Facts. Now then doing a grind in a different system really has nothing to do with it as much as the time -- we HAD NO idea what we were doing half the time back then.. in fact we didnt even know what gave visibility.

So while I see you did not understand anything I said and took it per batem, I meant nothing like that. It is not your fault my fault or anyones... it was just the facts of the matter. We did it long before post CU folks even.

Pre 9 and then the long awaited post 10 village was 100% different... also so many things for reasons we may never know were harder and different. Now then, Im sure doing things in the village were frustrating and hard at times and never doubt that. But the fact is there was a difference. All that I asked was somthing no different in power.. in fact no power difference at all is needed. A nice title and robe , maybe a color crystal to show our pioneering in the class thats all... It was full of RISK and REWARD then. I feel bad that so many of you never had the change to enjoy it then.

I would almost get scared no joke, or nervous to log in... I kid you not. So be mad all you wish, but this was about a fact of a timeline and pioneering somthing that was different then any other game out there since BBS days with old Ti-99s and so on.

Maybe now you understand better...

point taken.

Another question. Isn't it enough that you pioneered and participated insomething that others can never do again?

You got your reward when you played under the hologrinding system but yet it doesn't seem to be enough.

I had the game since launch but never opened the box untill post 9 pre 10. It was my first MMORPG and I was kinda weary of playing a game like this, I always thought it was to dorky even for me.

i'm a pre cu jedi.

I did some hologrinding to try and get credit at the village, still did 6 branches at the village. never used grenades. i would play more than 12 hours a day(back when i was a bum without a job) i grinded solo on endor for the majority of the jedi grind, no exploits like the geo cave or 0,0 endor no grinding at the squill caves. never got visibility i ran in to people but my paranio helped my reflexes, I even started developing a sense when i knew someone or something was gonna pop up. I never showed signs that i was a jedi in cities. i've never even worn my jedi initiate tag or my padawan tag.
