Thread: TO POST CU JEDI :
this is sad. first off, the point of my thread had nothing to do with saying bad things about old school jedi. in fact i encouraged the newer to learn from the old. well, negative dude, new jedi arent going anywhere so get over it and yourself. or, you can quit the game. u wont be missed. All i tried to do is give encouragement. and let this be known to you all, even if u try to be constructive, uve always got some bitter ignorant person out there. dude youre stuck in the past, again, get over it. new jedi arent going to be nerfed. wont happen. never. nada. zero. no way. so, be mad, and quit. new jedi arent going anywere. so if u dont like it, you can.
it seems jedi are their own worse enemy. not only do we have to be concerned about the mbhs, but now old jedi as well?
again dude if u want to complain, grow some and make your own flame againsed all new post cu jedi. (soemthing tells me u wont because u dont want to get flamed in a grandiose manner anyway)

A pre CU jedi took 6 months to do half of his template PreCU, then finished it within 2 days of the CU. My old gripe with post CU jedi, is that they think its as hard as it was. Oh, and the fact that moaning in this forum has gone up 100fold since the influx
um yea thats if you take it slow i know a power grinder who finished his template in a little over 2 months pre cu.

i made a post before about the jedi grind pre-cu and post-cu the difference was this even if you were to master all the professions meaning you would have definitely unlocked jedi regardless of holocrons then you wouldnt have close to the grind for the xp needed for the village now. basically pre-cu unlocked jedi faster then post-cu, only difference ive even heard about was that BH was a hard profession to master, and maybe some others as far as low xp, like merchant can only get xp from people buying stuff but im sure you all know the tricks to grinding things like they used to master doctor in one day with combat rolls on roof tops and artisan macros and dancers grinding with other dancers each watching each other, i mean face it in the worst case scenerio you had what 32 professions not more then 6million xp per master profession, so 6milX32 at the worst still isnt 7.25mil X 30 for the conversion rate at the village right now. anyhow im getting off work now so i gotta leave peace everyone and think on your pre-cu grind and just how hard it was, oh and btw i think this village is easy and the jedi grind will be easy too, as long as your smart about it, and if the village is easy and the pre-cu grind wasnt as hard then idk what the hell your b1^ching about.
I couldnt grind a combat proffession in a day pre cu now in the Cu i can. The XP rate back then was far slower than it is now i dont get how it is harder now to grind combat proffessions now when you can get over 100k per pikket lair ... I capped each 3 hours twice in Unarmed xp thats 1.8 mill unarmed xp per buff round...

I'm a Pre-CU Jedi, so for you veteran Jedi forum readers, you know what I'm going to say. As I have read, this thread is to encourage new Jedi. So I'll give it my best shot.
You are a post CU Jedi. It's hard for you, and if you ask me that's a good thing. They completely opened up the Jedi profession to everyone. I was grinding yesterday with a level 44 Jedi. Through various changes and nerfs they have made your life hard, but it's the price you pay for being given the open option of being a Jedi.
I died to a BH yesterday while grinding, a really bad BH. I have no defender, I'm a pure support Jedi for my guild and the Empire, and I play my template well. But when you have 1/4 health in the middle of a lair you're dead meat. It sucked bad losing the XP, mostly because after playing for so long at this point I really have no desire to ever be bothered to grind Jedi XP ever again. I have a respec left so I figured I can wait a month (hopefully) and see what kind of temp I can pick up for the FRS. But yes, it sucked big time losing that XP. However, I grinded the XP back in a half hour with a grind group on Dantooine. So it's not that big of a deal, just don't let it get to you.
Crystal / Pearl drops, sucks bad I'm quite aware. Again, I have no defender at all, my Melee Defense is 45. I had FOUR, yes FOUR, Jedi on me yesterday for a good 10 seconds, two of them MLS. All of them were new Jedi, and I was able to escape. Their damage outpost was hideous because their sabers have terrible pearls. Terrible. I will revisit this issue in a bit.
As far as BHs go, you posting about them and acknowledging them is your first mistake. I have a Bounty Hunter alt, like every other Jedi. BHing is pretty easy, it's a pain when Jedi are sitting in their house or hall of course. I've beaten Master Defenders (AI and all) and Master Lightsabers. It's all about timing for a BH, moreso than the actual fight itself if you actually get into one.
Yes, a lot of Jedi have BH alts - Don't you find this as symptomatic of a true issue within the ranks of Jedi? Certainly many took BH alts to "know how to win against BH as a Jedi", but many others have taken up a BH alt in order to attempt to keep their own Jedi power - After all, if as a BH you can take down the Jedi that will be competing in the FRS, one can effectively help to ensure that other Jedi will be in neg XP land, decreasing the chances of them hurting you in the FRS.. On another note - I have a Rifleman/CH alt.
Bounty Hunting is the only thing left to do in this game for a LOT of people, especially people like myself, aside from PvP. You have to realize that Bounty Hunters are in the game to stop you from grinding, to kill you, and to mock you. That's their job, and you have to deal with it. If you go down, get up and grind faster, grind harder. Without BHs this game would be worse than it already is for the most part.
BH aren't given a "free mocking" license - It's the mocking that is creating more and more derision between Jedi and BH communities. It's NOT their Job to "mock" us, merely to kill us.
Back to the pearls / crystals. You will not be getting a fix to the tuning system, or the drops. What SOE will do is put it on the [hopefully] uber hard bosses that will be prowling the end of the Mustafar dungeons. Hopefully harder than Necrosis, and a lot more complex than the Necrosis set up. And hopefully the drop rate is 1 in 25. But it will be available, and you can do it multiple times, but you will have to work for them. And I hope this is how it ends up being. Perfect Sabers were not given to every Pre CURB Jedi, we worked for those too, as well as our templates before they gave post CURB Jedi grinding groups or Kashyyyk. The early Publish 9 Jedi, like myself, only had color crystals to use and they had NEGATIVE MOFIDIERS ON THEM. Can you imagine having crystals and pearls that actually made your saber worse? Trying grinding with that, without a group.
So, are you trying to say that Pre CU jedi have something that stops them from Grinding groups or Kashyyyk? I see quite a few "pre CU" Jedi on our server that use BOTH of these - Please don't categorize a game mechaninc as ONLY for one set or the other, as ALL of us benefit from them, not just Post CU Jedi.
We all have our sob stories. I'm sure I have a lot more but I think they're all covered on these forums in one thread or another. I know you're not attacking Post CURB Jedi here, but it's just really tiresome to see people who don't have it as hard as they think complain about petty things. You didn't have to find out how to unlock your Jedi like some people did, and you didn't have to go through a completely randomized system to get yours. The least you can do is deal with the fact that you're not going to be as good as your elders.
Actually, you are only partly correct, Alk.. I was grinding professions for the Hologrind - But wasn't in a rush to do it, and because of that - I end up being classified as a"post CU" Jedi - So am I supposed to smile and shrug everything off, because they changed the system mid stream on me? At least I had free unlocks because of the Village change, I guess...
You will be screwed in the FRS too, I'm sure. Pre CURB Jedi who did their Knight Trials have their Knight boxes already completed, so chances are pretty high that we won't need to go through the new Trials they put in, which would be a nice reward to those who have accomplished more than the new Jedi. Otherwise we're gonna have a bunch of noob Jedi taking up all the FRS ranks.

I know people post CU who did it in under a week. I also know people who did it in 2 months, it involved grinding nonstop, with a doc and a tank. 2 people who will aimlessley follow you and do you bidding
