Well it's not like you see BH/Riflemen/swordsmen dueling in the movies either.

Ahh yes but jedi were never meant to be allowed to act in this manner, even outside of the movies. (i.e. in any video games bearing the trademark of Lucas Arts)I do not believe Lucas Arts ever intended for jedi to be so blazen as to stand around picking fights. Maybe SOE does not mind, but I bet Lucas is mad as hell. And rightfully so.
This of course is mere speculation on my part, but from what I have read outside of the SOE forums, I am comfortable in making the assumption.

You can't police people's playstyle in a game. People have spent a long time earning their "jedi status" if they want to flaunt it, let them, it's just more credits the system gives to BH. Besides, most the combat you see is BH chasing Jedi anyway.

Newsflash: If you're hanging out at the star port with a rifle in hand in full armor, you're just as guilty of breaking immersion as the jedi themselves.

Keep telling yourself that. If you believe it that is fine, the rest of us do not have to buy in.

So how many MMORPG games have you played? Jedi is SWG's End game.

How many have you played? A good MMORPG doesn't have an endgame, it keeps on going. Endgames are exactly that, you've done everything in the game and all you can do is the same thing over and over and over. Why strive towards this?

Asheron's Call. End game was being a level 126 quest master. The game got updated every month, until they put it on hold for 6 months for an expansion. Now end game is 275, but unless you're a l33t d00d, wasting 5 more years is pointless.

For 3 or so years, I was just like you guys, complaining there was too many 126's (*AC's end game.) because I was a level 99ish char trying to make it in a world full of 126 content and 126 wiping everyone out in PK with macroed stats. Finally I got 126, and realized the complaining was pointless. It all comes down to marketing. The l33t d00dz own more accounts. The l33t d00ds pay more into the game. The l33t d00dz will always get more content geared towards them.

Same thing here. The game is over 2 years old now. Things are not going to be the same. The game's shelf life is getting older. All the expansions really did was draw in more "I WANT JEDI" people, which just makes your preaching even more worthless. Jedi is the end game. Like it or not.

You do know that every MMORPG that is based on one man or a "higher" class of species. Has an End game.

Just to mention 2 easy ones.

SWG - Jedi

Matrix - The One

In both games there are possible to become Jedi or The One. Alpha class, the ass kickery prof. Which 98% are aiming for.

Why do you think people even buy them?

And on both forums and all the other MMO's forums, there are always kids and the 24/7 sitting home retards

complaining as much as they can.

There should be more options for 'endgame' (I hate that word) honestly, not just jedi. It's not interesting when everyone in a game is exactly the same

Well, it sucks, but thats the way it goes. Bug the devs for more content. Maybe we can get them to impliment vehicles like Battlefront has, then people will camp star ports with AT AT's...

Im pretty much not going to listen to someone who spent his entire grind time running away from every single bh, only to turn around and openly brag about griefing bhs after being a full temp.

And yeah i do want skill loss, more power, more risk, IE make feel like endgame instead of some brawler with a glowstick.

Ever been to Morrowind forums? Singleplayer game, yet people were complaining that certain skills were overpowered

Haden Blackman (or whoever it was) was quite correct in his assesment that boards don't mirror what people really think, just what the loud people think and the ones with real concerns get overseen amongst all the garbage.

I dunno about you, but escaping was a lot easier than regrinding exp. Now I mow them down. ::shrug::

Basically that's all Jedi is. A hard earned guy with an animated glow that other characters don't have. Want to be "more powerful" Play the Jedi Knight series. Then you can leap over buildings too.
