You know that everyone, well almost everyone is going to respec to jedi...

All we will have is a million jedi running around.

I don't care if Jedi is equal in power to the other professions. They need to make it so that it's equal to other professions but much harder to get. This will keep the jedi population under control. Only the people that really likeJedi will go for it and have to spend that long task just to have that lightsaber.

I don't think anyone wants to play a game that just consists of Jedi.

Jedi = Corvette, Other professions = Toyota

If a Corvette and a Toyota went then same speed ( equal power ) and cost the same price ( equal challange to get ) what you be driving???

ok so because I'm 2 unlocks away and can't make it now before the 15th, I and those in the same situation will be treated with no respect what so ever? Simple truth for you my friend:You are NOT a Jedi! You may have the Saber and the pearls but your lack of respect and elitism have put you as far removed from the ideals of the Jedi as you could possibly get.

first of all, im a dark jedi....jedi ideals mean nothing to me. second you got me wrong. All im saying is that if jedi is going to be a normal profession, i will look at you as a normal player. I dont generalize of course, but i will always respect and admire the jedi for what it was, not for what it has become. Im sure we might be selfish to say that, or even elitist. But 1 year ago when i decided to really work for my jedi is b/c of the pleasure of achievement, the pleasure of conquering something that requires patience and time.

when i finally got full temp they shutted off the FRS and my trials were uncompleted. i waited then 5 more months for the FRS, killing hordes of BHs everyday, trying to keep my mind busy, checking forums everyday to see if we had news on the rank system.

I dont blame the player for this, i blame the game, but u cannot tell me that a FS with a few unlocks that will respec to jedi deserves the same in game treatment that one that worked his balls out for it.

I dont lack of respect my man, i do respect those who earn my respect. In game when u saw a jedi u knew that he deserved it ( ebayers apart, btw...lol) now our work has beendestroyed. SOE ripped out the beauty of the jedi profession, to me SWG is just like KOTOR now. Which is wonderful btw, but it should have been implemented in a separeted game, an SWG 2 : Clone Wars, or KOTOR online....

i really dont care either way. the game sucks as is, and is a bore really.

nooblets just need to know, that there is more to jedi then respecing to it. you will spend tons of time trying to make a decent saber, which you will not have when you respec to jedi.

then theres the millions on resources that need to be spent just to make the saber hilt

and immediately after you respec and try to showoff, there will be vets on both sides like a pack of wolves waiting on you

its all fun tho, and if you want it bad enough, you will make it. but a jedi is really only as good as their saber, i dont care what anybody says, especially in a dumbed down, redumbed down, and dumbed down part 2 revamp game.

and oh yea, as dumb jedi part 2 respecer, you wont have a alt to fall back on.

Note to you-- NOT EVERYONE WANTED TO BE JEDI--- Gosh how could that be??? PROBABLY BECAUSE OUT OF THE JEDI ON EACH SERVER THERE ARE ONLY ABOUT 20 OF THEM THAT ACT WITH THE DIGNITY TO COMMAND RESPEC THAT A TRUE JEDI WOULD BE GRANTED!

I gaurentee that I have killed enough creature to have been a Jedi several times over in the course of my over 1 1/2 years playing, expensive?? Yes it may be but many of the Pearls that the Jedi's on my server have tuning their sabers are ones that I precured... I have lost the benefit of my +25 AA's and CA's, my ADK'ed Health RIS Armour, my uber hammers, and more...

Your profession atleast will still exist.... Mine that of the Noble Sword will go into the void.....

I never wanted to be Jedi, however I surely put as much effort and time in as many a Jedi...

True melee died.. they started killing us long ago... ranged and Jedi is were they wanted to go so the 10 year olds and those that acted like them could play...

Sorry, shouldn't lash out at you current Jedi... I will prob respec to Jedi so I can remember playing Melee... I know your pain but all that I accomplished has been stripped away If anyone thinks it wrong that I respec to Jedi... believe me I almost would rather quit then do so... I will wear my Master Swords Tag into this change.. then decide if I'll do the unthinkable after over a 1 1/2 years of play.

and nobody mourns as we pass into the void... feel the disturbance in the force... Swordsman is no more... in the blink of an eye...gone

lol im really curious about the titles and skills...and dark/light factions too...will we all have the same powers and imp/reb will b the only thing that will make us differ?

Of course I can see where you are coming from, you worked hard to unlock and that's fine. What I'm concearned about is if an atmosphere of "You don't have the NGE vet rewards so you must be a noob" starts to spread then many people who were far in to the FS grind will be short changed in that they will get no respect at all. I'm not trying to downplay your work in unlocking back in the day, I'm simply concearned with a cloistered attitude that may develope causing yet another rift in the SWG community. These rifts can only hurt a game, they never help!

oh no man, like i said, to me the overal jedi profession will just be normal, and to the eyes of the veterans we will always miss the ol days.

but i agree with you that griefing ruins the game...we had enough of jedi haters and BH during our grind. I personally wont bully new jedi...ill just sigh now and then wishing i didnt waste so many hours killing voritors with saber spin lol *feels idiot*

And I can see you're a good bloke, my rant wasn't really directed at you, it was intended for those who will grief. I can totally relate to what you said about missing the old days. I played MxO from day 1 live,when the server merger effectivly destroyed the RP server (Linenoise) we all just sat around and talked about how great it was in the day

Here's hoping the NGE will make SWG better for everyone
