Well, I'd prefer another SWG where everything is quest based and balanced, and to be a Jedi you have to do quests from escorting political characters to carrying imporatant data. For light Jedi, protecting people and for Dark Jedi, assassinating.
But I'll be realistic. This won't happen.
So all I want is a whole game wipe. To the poster above Reikus, I am a pre-pub 9 Jedi, too, and no I don't want myself holding a Lightsaber there. I want EVERYONE to start from scratch. A new game. All of us with CDEFs and n00bie clothes.
Now with that, I can see where you're coming from.
I do love your ideas about the quest based deal for light/dark side. That actually sounds like jedi content *gasp* of which we have none of really.
Wiping the game isn't going to solveany ofthe problems, though, and would make the people that have been enjoying this game for quite some time, very unhappy. Maybe what could be possible is if they did do a game-altering publish to open up a new server (not a pre pub anything server, just a new clean server that you can't transfer to) and see how many players actually start fresh.
Boy I think alot of people would be ticked off not getting thier Jedi back lol. Like I said, when I see these posts of "Can we have a old Server etc.." then when I say ok but the population has to be that way too, they shut up SOOOO fast it's not funny.
They want the reward without the work or risk..lol it's kinda sad but shows you the diffrence in old Jedi vs new.
Exactly, Iskareot, I couldn't agree more about the "rollback server" thing. Ifthe developers felt the need to giveplayers a wayto start out fresh (with CDEF's and all as the OP had put it), then a new server would be the only thing I'd agree with. Maybe that's something they could have done when the CU went live. I'm not questioning it either way. I'm pretty content where I am and would much rather work on fixing the mess that we're in than wiping the slate clean.

is it such a hard concept?
dont forget a slight CM nerf too...no more -1000 mind per 6 seconds.

SOE, Type ''GAME OVER '' on all your servers.
Advertise '' SWG2 '' on media for one month.
Roll back all the servers to publish 8 ( Before Jedi changes )
In this one month, fix professions, insane weapons ( Not overpowered ones, only the insane ones )and dots. Reduce armor protection a bit.
You make it sound so easy. They have been trying to "fix" professions almost every single publish this game has ever had. That is not a fix that happens in a month.
Keep Jedi, hologrinding, saber tef and 3 deaths in one week - 1 skill lossingame. Noone saw Jedi aorund pre-publish 9 right ?
Oh please no. The village may not be the best sollution but holo-grinding was worse. I am not talking about the amount of time when I say worse. I am talking about having to tear apart your character every time you turn around to "guess" at another profession that could be one of the ones you need. You never got to pick and profession and enjoy it, like the village allows. I am not saying the village is perfect, but this is one plus over holo-grinding. You can pick whatever profession you like and stick with it to do your grind. You can also still change it if you want.
Other Problem I had with holo-grinders is the amount of afk people you ran into. Think it is bad now? It was 10 times worse then.
I bet my everything first day Subscribers of SWG2will be at least DOUBLE of today's.

Im doughting they will make SWG2. But that's just me.
What would you say if I told you that Lucas Arts is thinking of doing thier own and controlling it with the time frame set in KOTOR time.
Then let me add that SWG has made some money and there is enough fanbase to do this. ---
I will add that if you look at the awards that KOTOR has gotton for both versions then maybe you may know this is coming and or heard from the same people.
Now then.. I want to be clear here and say that nothing is in stone and I'm not spreading a rumor.. I can just tell you that this is not a concept or idea that has not been discussed.

pre- 9 Jedi here -- If they also took the population with them then Yeah Id be all for this, I unlocked 6/7 -- If we were to even try to bring all of you new guys over it would be a train wreck.
The system back then supported the amount... which was very few of us.
Having the 10000 Jedi each server has now with that kind of power would be far worse then anything we have seen so far.
I mean crap man, We had fools doing the Knight trials in beta when they were not even needed too... that tells you the player that can come from this mess.
Well now Isk, a bit of a generalization there, doncha think? Not all post-CU Jedi are children who cannot handle the responsibility of being an Alpha class. by contrast, not all Pre-9 Jedi are "mature, seasoned" players. Your commentary which implies that "All old Jedi good, all new Jedi bad" is exactly the attitude that tends to exacerbate tensions within our profession. Besides, if they brought back the severe consequences to Jedi like Perma-death and TEFs, many of these care-bear Jedi kiddies would soon be "dead" and have to re roll their Jedi, effectively keeping them at the lower ends of Jedi food chain. Furthermore, the more responsibile Jedi who don't run around Theed with their flashlights out, will rise to the top. Call it Darwin's "Natural Selection" if you will. How else would you know who can and cannot handle the responsibility unless you do something foolish like assuming that those who unlocked last year vs this year, are somehow a better quality player?
Respect ya bro, but ya gotta stop with the generalizations of Post-CU Jedi. I know that you know at least THREE who are EXACTLY what this profession needs in both maturity and responsibility.
