Powers is very VERY fun. Every fight is different and you can either be on the front lines or work as a support player depending on the situation.


In a group, it's great. 1 on 1 though, you gotta think of it like a Bruce Lee fight. If the fight is not won within 1 minute, it's gone on too long. I have beat knights in duels in 40 seconds.... and I've lost in 15 minutes. Depends who you are fighting.

The best way to sum up Master Powers is to compare it with Carbineer. Its a great support template, played by someone knowing what they are doing it can be very tough to defeat, but at the same time it can be a burden.

The biggest issue I saw (I was planning MLS/MP/H4004 template), MLS is a must we all know that, H4004 is also, the force required to use most Powers attacks is simply too high. You think about spamming LS attacks, throwing a 400-500 force use Area Intimidate, crack a lightningArea2 (not sure on the force cost of this), and you are burning thro force without any way to get it back except you're natural regeneration rate.

Master Powers really need the force cost turned down just a bit, then it would be a viable template choice. I hope this happens soon too .

It does, but there is a big bug with choke on the whole. The first tick will be affected by absorb, feedback, shield, etc. but the rest of the ticks won't be. Also, the first tick of choke also is the only one that counts in the calculation of FRS. Feedback from enhancers isn't that big of a deal, it only lasts 90 seconds. Shield is the one that hurts. Lasts 30 mins, reduces damage by 75% and even though it takes from their force pool, it's nowhere near as much as is taken from yours.

by the looks of things I will have got the wish that was highest on my list. Force breach. No more shall light side enhancers run away as soon as there force gets low. Also intensly curious as too what force cloak will be used for please make it effective in PvP

What about Force breach VS Force Feedback ? Could not an Enhancer have a chance tojust beam that Breach right back to the Master Power?

as far as i can make out if it hits it breaks any kind of defense be it sheild,armor, reflect absorb, force run resist states etc

Humm I would think that Force Feedback , Absorb, or Shield would have a chance.... or precent chance of either feeding it back, absorbing it, or sielding it.... Guess we will just have to wait and see in game... either way glad they did add it makes it more of a challange now...

Honestly as a master ability it should. I'm glad enhance can no longer make themselves imune to powers, and even in some cases hurt the force powers user more then they get hurt themselves!!!



Force Powers users have no idea what defenses you have up, when you have them up or when they go down unless they hit you with a power first and see if the effects. So it's quite easy to balance Breach, with a sensible force cost it'll be fine, as many times the casting of breach will be wasted and you can just turn the defences right back on. I fail to see why people think this is going to be so unbalancing, it was in KOTOR and honestly I didn't find it very usefull as you never really know if it did any good or if it was wasted.

Breach will in no way imbalace powers with enhancer, as was said previously, all they have to do is put there armors back up. I just hope that powers force costs will have been re-evaluated, the biggest inherent problem with the Powers line has been the imbalance of our specials compared the cost of heal/negating those specials, like intimidate. intimidate1 cost 300 force to use, but only 50 force to heal. I see cloak being highly useless due to force cost, depending on how exactly it works. If we go walk into battle and an cloak ourselves to 2 players and it drains half our force its not really much use then. I'm mostly concerned about the lack of any defensive abilities at the moment. Ever forgot to equip a saber before a duel??? Being fully buffed, 1 hit took me down to 25% health. But its all wait and see, really the most important issues at this point is getting a respec and being allowed to test.
