Nice ideas in the original post. IMHO, though, Jedi robes are a freaking waste of time and effort.

I really wish they'd just remove the bonuses from Jedi robes and put them in the Padawan box. That way, Jedi can blend into the general populace without losing any effectiveness, and we don't have to listen to simpering idiots screaming "OHEMGEE THERE AER SO MANY JEDI!"!"111

There aren't that many more, really. SOE just decided to make us wear chalk-white uniforms during a time when Jedi ought to be hiding. Brilliant, that. "No, I'm nota Jedi. I just ran out of clean clothes so I'm wearing my pajamas while I go to pick up some power converters."

LOL, agreed. I would at least like to see A quest or something for jedi. That is why I blended a Quest with the robes. Finding artifacts would be cool and at least give jedi other content besides, pvp. Also doing a quests that would give jedi somelegitimate rewards. Instead of 1,000 cerdits. Would be nice!!

Also,I though artifacts would go With soe supposed Timeline. Mabey there could be a massive battle for who has the Artifacts on yavin or something. Like if the light jedi Win, for this week they would get the artifacts, Same with the dark.

True ,but mabey this will inspire the devs to be more creative . This could also mabey go along with gizmos Vision of the FRS. That would be alot of jedi content ,indeed!!

Sounds good. I would like the robes to be at least some use, cause right now it makes me super sad that the force regeneration thing does not even work

5. It would be worth advanceing up the FRS.

Anyways...

Decent ideas except for the artifacts and items taking up the same slots in the robe. Too bad something like this will never get implemented...though truthfully i'd settle for the item holder belt and being able to change colors so we all don't look the same.../shrug.

Can we get some roleplaying please!

Obiwan was not a pimp. He did not have flashing neon boots. Thank you.

As for all the defences, I don't like it. Jedi use the force not gadgets. Make the naked jedi have natural resists, the clothes are there for modesty reasons. Not for being just another piece of armour.

If you really want to do this good then of course clothing restrictions only apply to the light side. The darkside can do whatever they please. Noone ever said being light was easy.

Then again I like playing a monk in dungeon and dragons style worlds. Make unarmoured vs armoured a choice. A fully armoured person has great damage reduction but pays in mobility and reaction. An unarmoured person takes more damage but can evade more blows. I have tried to be an unarmoured melee but it just don't work at anything above rancors. The cost for wearing armour is to low compared to the cost of not wearing it.

A tkm in composite just ain't cutting it for me. A jedi with beefed up clothes seems just as poor.

Then again I would be glad with any chance that would stop the whole team on a dwb hunt having the exact same armour.

Awesome idea about the robes, lol if the devs would read in here once in awhile they would definately get inspired

SOE's philosophy in a nutshell is this. If someone or a group of people are special, and different from others, then by all means strip the special people of the things that made them special in the first place. Do this so that the not- so- special people dont feel bad about themselves. By all means DO NOT encourage the not- so -special people to strive to themselves become special. Its not like we all didnt start with 250 credits a cdef and a melon.

I'm a bit sceptic about this idea. I don't think Jedi in general are good tailors. Craftable Jedi robes is something odd IMO. However the idea about using Artifacts (not quest enabled BC but lootable) would be nice. The idea of Robe sockets (where you can add/remove artifact like crystals from lightsaber) is good. And artifact decay is also nice idea.

My conclusion:

* Nice way to add skill mods to Jedi robes.

*Funny way to make all Jedi unique looking.

* Questionabletype of loots to everyone to rob Jedi population.

I highly doubd thischangewould lead to increase of subscription numbers .

I think the number of slots is a bit high (at any of the levels) but I love the overall concept.

Black and red might be only for dark jedi robes. Variations of earth tones for light side jedi? Perhaps cool colors to denote peace and calm and hot colors (red, orange, etc.) to denote anger and hate?
