tell me again, why do we need to craft a 1st gen??
im wondering that one myself..
and to the above poster about crafting for dmg; that's the only stat on new (nge) ones.

can someone please explain why just exp in damage?
Yeah, come the NGE there is no more speed, and sac is determined on what secial you use, not your weapon.

I've read somewhere that there are two factors for sabers, damage and speed..
Are you sure that the only factor on sabers is damage?
Just to be safe, I would craft different types of sabers, one for damage, one forspeed, and one even on both damage and speed.

I crafted my 3rd gen in the NGE. There is only one line to experiment.
Skills (specials) determine the speed.

Read MsNil's stickied thread.
Her and other Corbantis folks are seeing their 1st gen sabers actually convert over as better than 3rd gens.

i did 18 sabers yesterday. 3d and 4th gen of each type, then I experimented one for damage, one for speed and one for efficiency. Then with about 10 pre-CU 1st-3d gen sabers still in my bank I figure one of these will let me kill a gubber after this all goes live...
But today I will go back and do some 1st and 2nd gen sabers since I keep reading that these are converting over better than 3d and 4th...
even after pearls?
oddly enough, some have, even after pearls.
As for all my crafting and why damage, it's hoping for good conversion with NGE.
