peng, that means no force aura, infusion, healing, or any other force macro you currently use while a weapon is in your hand...can u imagine getting sapped when you have all that off? Yes, you can just put the weapons on hot keys and switch back and forth, but it will be a real pain if you get kd'd and cant change weapons while down... and cant use kd recovery. I will almost guarentee that the devs will pretty much put it where you cant change weapons while kd'd or some type of hinderance in between switching weapons...and that takes up a precious spot for food or a macro key.Message Edited by KRAKEN666 on 10-11-2005 10:43 AM
In my darkest nightmare I could see this happening.
Which means: "Coming soon to a SWG server near you!"

Its not just jedi that suffer, its melee and pistols as well. All rifle specials should be while prone and all carbine specials while kneeling. In a game you can't have superior range without any drawbacks.
Right. So make melee god. Oh wait, it pretty much still is the dominant form of fighting. Mind you I said Melee...not Jedi.
And yes, ranged already has a drawback...it's called lower defenses.

Lower defenses doesn't mean anything if you can't be caught.

Yeah I've tried ranged and melee templates, even without CM you have so many snares and roots in ranged you have to be terrible at PvP to be caught by a melee template if your kiting.

Ya but the ONLY reason he used it was for the fact his LightSaber was knocked levels below him earlier in combat, otherwise he would have used that. And since Obi-Wan doesn't have Powers in his template, he didn't have any way to be offensive....

the one change you will see that will usher in the frs will be the dreaded patch that jedi cant use force powers while having an equiped regular proffesion weapon in hand. this will eliminate ranged jedi pvp battles short of powers and saber throws.
No, it won't actually. Making it so you can only use force powers with a LS equipped won't change a thing. There is no penalty for switching weapons in combat. Simply make your force powers a macro that uneqips your rifle, executes the move, then re-equips yours rifle. Poof, the change means nothing. You will see no slowdown in combat, you won't even have to think about actually doing the equipping/unequipping. Trust me, I run duelist stance in combat while using an LS all the time now, and I can't be weilding the LS when I execute duelist stance.
Yay more examples of crappy coding forcing players to use macros to accomplish their goals. Yay for soe. Read my sig.
What's bad about that? Try Lightning - you'll see what I mean.
It looks nice, but it roots you for about 3 HOURS (approx). Choke is just as bad - right animation, but it takes forever and a day to finish. I've been hammered by a Krayt before simply because my char stood there like a lemon doing some lightning (which probably missed anyway) while I'm getting seven shades of sh.. er.. poodoo beaten out of me.
