no not all your skill points cause some people had those stupid novice brawler hybrids
Yeah I thought those were the ones who were pre-village, they have a spare 24 SP to spend on whatever they wanted don't they?
Nope, we had to pick 24 sp worth of force sensitive skills during the conversion process.
Apologies, I thought you pre-village guys got to keep the spare 24 SP as a rewards for being pre-village

I'm thinking of changing this a bit to MLS/Def 4044/Heal 4000 and some enhancer. My query is, I thought in the old system, to qualify for the Knight trials you had to spend 226 skill points on your template. If that is the case how would you qualify for the trials without a double mastery as you will always have that 1SP spare that you cannot spend?
With the old system you needed 230 skill points spend into jedi skills(including the 24 points from force sensitive), in order to qualify for the knight trials. A Popup window would appear giving you the msg that you qualify, and telling you to head out to a certain planet to find the knight shrine that starts your trial. To prevent people from just getting low lvl tier boxes and then qualify from the trials, you needed a certain amount of tier 4 boxes aswell, but i cant remember how many it have been.
I for myself always had a Singler Mastery template, pre cu and post cu. Always liked a more variable template at the cost of lesser force
Hope that helps you
Man. Anyway i try and slice my final temp as a jedi, i can NOT get anything but 1 skill point left over. Its iehter 1 SP or 5 SPs left over. I can't get anythign in between or nothing lower.
Name me one FULL JEDI (no hybrid) temp, that is good and gets rid of all the SPs please. I can't find it
THUS, your idea of 100% jedi in order to do the Knight Trials is compeltely retarded because it is almost (if not completely) impossible to get rid of all the SPs. And i think having 1 SP left over and having a full jedi temp IS 100% commited to jedi man.
The 24 sp invested in FS skills counted towards your 226 sp total to quality for the knight trials. So really, you only had to get 202 sp worth of jedi skill boxes to qualify.

I did notice that message for knight trials did not appear until i spent 226 pts and 0 remaining skill points. I could be wrong, but no way to test it now that jedi options are turned off. Personally I think it should be this way. IF you cannot commit 100% to jedi and spend all your points, then you do not move on past padawan.
Ho'mer
That's silly imo, and missing the point.
There are plenty of templates out there that are very formidable, which in some cases can leave as much as 5 skill points left over. If memory serves - MLS, Powers 0400, Def 0040, Enh 4004, Healer 4000 is one such example... 221 skill points spent with nothing else you can spend them on.
Even the FOTM MLS, Enh 3402, Healer 4000, Def 4040 (x44x, xx44) uses 225 points.

Yes it does thanks, when I started out I wanted the double mastery, but lately I'm thinking that grabbing a few extra skills from other areas would prove more useful than a few 100 extra force points

he he lmao. thats the funniest crap ive heard in a while
To the OP. with your theory then, requiring all jedi to have 0 SPs left over...that would make ALL Jedi REQUIRED to be a double temp master. Since you say MLS MDEF Healer 4040 leave 0 sp left over.
With this theory you will have so many simlar jedi temps, because everyone will be restricted to double masteries. I think you will see ither MLS/MDEF or MPOWERS/MENH temps all over the place.
I really think their shouldn't be any 100% jedi temp requirement.
OK, to clear up all confusion...
To Qualify for the Knight trials you need:
206 SP (Skill points) in jedi skills. (THIS IS IF** your a jedi from the village, hence you have FS skills (24 skill points total) IF YOU AREN'T** a FS jedi, and your pre-publish 9 you need to have at least 226 SP in jedi)
1 Tier four Jedi Skill box
