According to TC Corbantis reports I've read, all pre tuned pearls/crystals were converted over without the need for retuning. Stats ranged from 2/2 (for low quality) to I believe 13/17 (for premie/flawless). It will be interesting to see what my collection of crap tuned pearls that I saved (about 100 total) will convert to.

As far as the possibility of changing all current pearls/crystals to one quality I'm not so sure. Krayts now have 100k+ hams and early testers were killed within3-6 hits (2k+ damage per hit). While I do expect a good portion of combat to be tweaked, I do not rule out the possibility that Krayts will again drop premies and flawless, albeit MUCH harder and requiring full groups to kill.
