Thread: balancing jedi or empowering jedi.
I disagree with both. I think the Jedi should be VERY weak. lol, i know Ill get a lot of flames for this. But think about it.
If someone did manage to get themselves to a Padawan, who the hell is going to train them? I know there's an npc but in terms of reality, who is going to train you?? You're on your own. You have no trainer and you have no master.
Even Luke had Yoda to train with. You have no one.
In a world where you are suppose to be extinct, you find yourself lucky enough to harness the force. Who's going to train you?
See my point? Jedi should be weaker if anything
Have you done any of the village quests? it's supposed to be "training" by the time you are padawan (which is what anakin was) you should be more than capable of killing a ship full of dukku's minions to save the chancelor.

Who's training the TKMs? The Docs? The BHs? The chef, did the chef go to a cookingschool in order to make great food? How did a rifleman become that accurate? Did he got tought by a very good sniper?
Your point seems pointless IMHO...
im not saying the time spent is meaningless... im saying if you think that you should keep an advantage forever then maybe u shouldn't be playing an MMO... the concept of an ever changing game is part of the reason why i think you don't get this idea... and seeing as how there are VERY FEW people that have been here longer than i have with as many accounts as i have then i doubt many have a say as far as vet or investment in this game over myself.
i personally would like to see them re-empower us... but would accept them completely balancing us over this half-assed crap.
to be honest that bh have got a boost in chances against jedi and im not saying that as a bh who hunts players i am saying that as a previously bored jedi who had abought .0001 chance of loseing to a bh before this patch and was put away in a cupbvourd so i could play my bh who at the time was a challenge to pvp with now that bhs have gained my bh will more than likely retire from player bountys for aslong as my jedi gets his share of visits win or lose the fight is all that matters
tbh again i would rather bh vs jedi on my jedi since bh rarely ruhn from a fight they are aboiught to lose
but i do hope frs comes soon
what i find funny is that most people fail to realize this is SOE's game not ours. if they decide to use my "balance" idea then it's up to them... when u got jedi u got your character slot.... u got your light saber..... u were never gauraunteed to be able to kill 20 ppl as a padawan, and u were never gauraunteed how long any gained power would last. i would much rather see them take my first idea but i would accept the second one so the game isn't broken like it is now. the rest of the community complains to no end about how the BH are getting stronger and we keep getting nerfed. and how that sux since u worked so hard to be a jedi.... and how your work means u should be stronger, guess what u played a game.... u didn't work. maybe next time take the time to enjoy the game instead of looking at it as work and a balance like this might not be so devistating to you.
the more and more i hear people shun the balance idea the more and more i pray it comes true. i wouldn't give a rats ass if jedi were able to be a starter prof and if everyone in the game had one as long as it was a balanced class. the power we have right now isn't worth the exp we have to grind... isn't worth the exp we lose for bh..... isn't worth the time to do the village..... isn't worth the lack of decent weapon components.... isn't worth the lack of attnetion from the game providers that cannot fix issues to our combat like weapon speed.... isn't worth the aggrivation of having to wait to advance past padawan and see the knight titles in our skill trees with no way to attain them....
i have been playing this game since it's birth and i went through BH at the time u couldn't finish one mission in 3 hours cuz the npc might not spawn. i remember them taking 2 or 3 months to fix that. but most problems have been in jedi since the CU the service of this game has gone from bad to worse and though i love star wars i spend most my time playing other games due to the utter lack of professionalism and respect from the SOE employees. most of you might or might not feel the same way i do about it but i feel disrespected everytime SOE makes a pointless change like the lava flea, instead of addressing an existing issue like the FRS. and i gladly pay for 5 accounts in a game from another company other than this one to show SOE that quality of service gets my money... true i keep 1 account active due to my love for starwars but i know they feel it when last year they had gotten 5 times as much money from just me alone.
a helpfull hint to SOE. get it out of your mind that we want you to try and think of something new..... fix what is wrong with the game.... listen to the players for idea of new things, we are better at it than you. not every idea from us needs to be used. but my god, you have a forum here.... USE IT!!! take a poll on things we would like to see. u have forum moderators that you pay to watch the forums and corrospondents that you have talk to us. try listening!
