Sure, if you're a fully templated Knight. People always like to ignore that part.

Don't think anyone ignores that part.. i think it might have something to do with, the possibilty of not being able to become a Knight, even when you're full template.. for the past oh..what 5months?

I think there are a lot of people that either do not know this or simply choose to ignore it in their discussions. All they hear or see is the '1.5x' part and parrot that like there is no tomorrow. Omitting certain things will tend to make a position in a discussion appear a bit more valid. Granted I understand its hard to pick up intended inflection from a post, but I'm of the opinion the OP thinks he is currently supposed to be at that level.

Couldn't say... that would depend on if they were a pre-cu or post-cu jedi, because if they are post they more then likely wouldn't know anything about the FRS. On top of that.. before the CU being full template, was the same thing as being a Knight, until they stripped us off half of our power so they could toss it into a broken system, and one they haven't even put back into place yet, and didn't return said power to us. so in most cases being full template would have been, being 1.5x powerful. In this case, we can't go further to reach the 1.5x powerful, and its been that way far too long.

You are incorrect. A competed jedi template sans knighthood was intended to be 1.5x as powerful as a normal template. The keyword here is *was*, as that seems to have effectively (and unofficially) changed to 1:1 in the past few months. The FRS offerred abilities well beyond thatdue to the extreme restriction of players at those levels to a handful. Fewer than 200 per server, if I remember correctly, with only the highest levels receiving any tangible benefits. For example, the force pool of the council leaders was approximately 12k vs. the 6800 of the typical dual mastery template. A scant handful of high ranking knights is pretty much unstoppable, as the publish 9 testing showed.

The only benefit received by a "completed knight template",was +250 force.

Agreed but I will say that there are too many professions that need care before another half-a55ed FRS is put in. Especially with the amount of Jedi running around, this really needs to be done right, so I don't mind that its taking time. Jedi was never meant to be played as an everyday, 'main' toon anyways. They've just never done a good job doing anything to curb it being played like that. I don't ever play mine because I hate seeing so many everywhere and the garbage that flows here and crap said by Jedi in game makes me a bit embarrased. The abuse the last FRS allowed was a joke and that they even indicated fightclubbing was ok, was apalling. Hopefully taking the time like this will introduce one that is reasonably exploit/abuse free. Not likely, but hey, who knows. We never thought SL/Ranger revamps were coming either so...who knows.

Agreed. The ability to curb the populationvastly declinedwhen main toons started becoming jedi. You can be a heck of a lot more restrictive when those restrictions are being placed upon what is a bonus character. This is one of the main factors, along with the population explosion, that demanded easing the restrictions and penalties upon jedi, and hence requiring the reduction of their power levels.

The devs are just as much at fault here as the players. They're the ones that caved in on all occasions and made the process easier. From adding holocron hints to the game, to opening the floodgates with the inception of the village, to removing the restrictions to playing the class. Instead of tightening up to limit and ultimately reduce the population via normal attrition, they just encouraged everyone to go make themselves a jedi. Having to grind solo was a major restriction to the class. So what did they do post-CU? Instead of making jedi soloing practical, they removed group visibility.

My main is double-mastery Jedi MLS/MDef
My alt is MBH/MCM with 0004 pistoleer for KD and root
Believe me Jedi aren't 1.5:1, even fully-templated, simple
Jedi are maybe 1:1 now, post-CU they've dropped massively
The MCM paralyze and debuffs aren't classed as physical attacks
They rot your mind pool somethign terrible
I try and do /sit or /kneel as paralyze gives about 10 secs or so
Then I /stand and run like frick
Throwing fire or poison/disease causes the paralyze to break
More dangerous then paralyze is the healing of MCM
Putting it simply my MBH/MCM can outheal jedi easily
And with no Force cost involved, my MCM can heal all day, non-stop
When I fight Jedi with my MBH/MCM if they can't outdamage my healing, they will lose, always
I even know 2 jedi who ditched 15 jedi skill pts to get Novice Medic lol
Because it has no Force cost, it's an awesome skillset to grab
Pretty sad day for Jedi when a Novice Medic heal can outdo Jedi heal lol

Heh. Some things never change. In the old days, it was novice brawler for warcry and intimidate.

CL "80" / 1.5 = 53.33333333333333..................rounded up is 54.

Jedi is 1.5 times more powerful then a single elite mastery cl 54 toon, and we are still more powerful then a cl 80 double elite normal proffession toon no matter what the nay sayers claim. There are post cu Jedi in my guild with really crappy sabres who can kill all sorts of bh templates and all sorts of other Jedi templates.

Part of it is the skill you bring to the game as a player, not the code that is in place.

Some BH fight Jedi everyday.......Some Jedi do not fight BH everyday...........alot of times the Jedi runs.

Who do you think is going to win the fight...the Jedi toon that has been running from fights for 2 months or the MBH who has been hunting 5 Jedi a day for 2 months?.one player knoiws his template really well by now.....can you guess which one?

MCM do have a serious mind cost on their abilities. The dots break paralyze when they actually do damage. I don't know alot of MCM that apply the dots after paralyze.....I think most of them para, then debuff and rupture...depending on lag I think I can para, rupture, mind debuff and action debuff before the para breaks.....I'd rather have someone with less mind and action regen then taking dmgticks that are negated by the ticks offorce infusion.

Does full template mean how many skill points you have used? I am using 213 skill points to Jedi (plus the 24 FS) and still have little chance. Or does it mean, 226 skill pionts for jedi (plus the 24 FS)? If it is the latter, I will accept my defeats.

There have been few instances where I can agree with a Jedi. Expect a comet to strike the earth.

IMHO, the power that the paralyze and whatever these MCM's are throwing down are very powerful. I am not saying remove them, but they should really eat mind up because those suckas are powerful. I don't want this stuff removed, but there should be some type of mind cost comensurating this attack. Either raise the mind cost or lower the ability....really not fair right now. Unless someone out there knows a way to combat this, let me know. You can't remove this stuff can you???? I have over 200 skill points used in Jedi and still can't fight off BH. Aren't I supposed to be 1.5 times tougher??? Dev's you need to answer this one.
