If the enemy moves off, even if snared himself, the jedi cannot do anything except sit it out and wait to die. It's only possible, even with double mastery, to chain about 4 AI's before it wrecks your force bar.

Right now, I use AI in about 2 occasions in the entire game.

I don't even have it on my tool bar anymore. It is worthless except in scripted scenarios or with support help. The snare and force cost nerf worked really well, maybe too well, to bring AI back to the pack as far as a special goes.

Anyone else feel that the snare on Avoid Incap is a little too high? I use it fairly often in PVE and it's a pain when my target moves out of melee range and I waste precious seconds of AI time to catch up. Also, self rooting when it's capped (an absolutely ESSENTIAL move when fighting high CL enemies) seems over the top.

I don't propose moving snare from Avoid Incap, but change it's power. For the first AI, make movement the equivalent of the legshot snare from carbines. For the stacked root, change it to the current AI snare.

Thoughts?

No, becase with FR1 on the snare is completely useless.

IE: When AI snared with FR1, you are running at the same speed as if you were not snared.

Even with FR1 on you run slowly.

I don't believe so. I fought a jedi the other day 1 v 1 that AI'd, then put on FR1 and ran. (Yes I am positive it was FR1.) He was running maybe a fraction slower, however it was very close to normal speed.

ai is useless in most situations. cost is way to high, and the only time you should use it is to run away without having to spam a hundred different keys. but soe in their infinite wisdom put the snare on it. which doesntfit the abuse it was being used for. a djm isnt going to run from you, he is going to run at you which takes away from their arguement to put a snare effect on it. just out of curiosity, does anyone elses master abilities in any other proffesion have snares attached to it? or is it some more of that dev love we keep talking about?

Exactly.

I think its crazy that you can have two AIs running also.. Is this any different the the force regen debuff enahncers get from Regain Con? I would rather have a snare than reduced force regen.

That DJM of which you speak, hits everyone else for 5k dmg.
That DJM kills most people in maybe 1-2 hits?
...whilst you're stood there tanking it to oblivion.

I dunno just how bad the snare is, but when its potentially the "downer" of having a 20k+ health bar then I can think of worse things.

and in PvP you usually jsut stand there and spam Dervish and Adv. Spin . . . a lot of IMPS on our service will get in a tight group, turn on AI and spam those attacks...makes PvP a pleasure . .

the snare on AI is ridiculous. 1000 force cost and then a snare... too much

btw those hedgehogs wouldn't exist if the snare wasgone. The counter to AI is..... kd,stasis. C'mon guys lets not rehash old nerfs and think that they are actually good. Heal nerf = trash. AI nerf = trash. Cloak nerf = trash. In fact, all nerfs = trash. It would be far better to come up with enhancements to the other professions. This way even more people would be happy, wow a concept 'making people happy' hum...
