WoW members are currently reporting record que times waiting to load to servers with Euro servers longest. Looks like they have good management. People stay, more people come, the game doesnt get multi-revamped

People that quit and don't post on the forums, will most likely not post that they are leaving either.

swings and round abouts my friend, for every 'one' person passionate about the game there are 'ten' people that couldnt care less and play this game for what it is 'a game'. its like the good ration for military service people but in reverse.

Well cause blizzard goves the PEOPLE that PLAY THE GAME what they want and what they ask for, the ability to solo, Check. Decent PvP, check, Group based stuff, decent rewards, fairly quick(Not as quick as the first CU was to lvl) Leveling, Check, check and check. Only thing WoW has that I dont like is lots of kids that play and annoy the hell out of me with there terrable attitue and damn odd talkin.

which is more geeky star wars or lord of the rings?

i gaurantee you that there is more apeal to 'normal' people on the WoW side than the 'nerdy' contigent that follows star wars

Star Wars is a thing that you either grew up with that you didnt and its rise in fan base is acumulative to a 'degree' but will never achieve the status that it had in the 70's early 80's.

Lord of the Rings, lets say this is WoW is a fantasy theme that is consistent not set in space (the unknown) and is more palatable, you'll find these underlying factors have got more to do with what the success of WoW is based on.

MMO's will be a big thing in the future, they arent at the absolute groundbreaking fantastic point yet but they will be, they will become the ultimate escape, for 'normal' folk and will have themes to reflect that.

//edit: spelling sucks i write as i speak, meh.

what can i say i like star wars...this will get to the point of KOTOR or supass it sooner or later. KOTOR doesnt have a 'huge' variety of moves either however it has great content, once they have got this down and pinned this game will be fine and they are getting there. this is never going to replace 'life' for some of the players who need that escape, its a game.
