Okay i logged in, Mdef MLS enh 0002 heal 3000.
Logged onto tat with a giant kryat right in front of me. Had aura running and action/mind regen.drink forgot what. edited forgot to post that i had infusion running and 1200 stims with ruby to help with heals.
Hit him a couple times and had no trouble "tanking" and even healing myself but could not do near enough damage to outrate his regen. I'm thinking he might be armorbreak proof even though it showed stuck on him.
Giants were all i tried but they hit a lot harder now not to mention the effects they stack on you.
Staying alive as a MDEF tank i dont think will be a problem in a group but maintaining the agro when my saber dps is 600 and any other weapon is way above that appears it may be more difficult. If anyone has any techniques to solo giants let me know i didnt try canyons or juvees at all though.
In conclusion 
It appears a step has been taken to move us more into the group role again, but havent given us the tools to play that role as defender. IE the AI nerf, which i dont mind but make dominate mind work better or allow for higher DPS sabers so we can take the aggro back and play our role.
PS... IM not whining Im trying to figure out what SOE wants to do. Play in a group?? great give us the tools.
I dont PVP much, havent had a BH encounter since CU week 3. Waiting for my guild to log in so i can do some MDEF testing. both PVE group tank and PVP vs BH's.
