I think duel weilding is a great idea, and one they're most likely considering. but to be honest and fair, it will be something that won't be exclusive to us. every combat profession is going to want, and should getthis. the prereqs and damage balance are the keys to making it work, i believe.
true, but i was looking at the Jedi part of the Dual Wielding Idea???
I think that topic is a bit too narrow IMO. What would be dual wield for jedi would be pretty much the same (I.E. have same relative effects) as on other dual wield systems.

Dual Wielding is a form.
Forms are separate from the Lightsaber tree really.

I believe that Dual wield should be in the MLS cert and as such should be classified as a type of 5th Gen Saber that only MLS can wield. This would allow the MLS Jedi to still choose the style of saber he/she wants and reap the benefit of being MLS.
my 2 cents

Quest based cert with MLS pre-req. Also add quest based schem for 5th gen saber with mls cert.

Make the dual sabers a loot reward - Twin Sabers from a quest. The sabers provide a couple of skill mods, but are pre-crafted, bio-linkable, non tradeable.

I would agree that a quest could be done once you have MLS.
As for ways to intergrate into combat, increase the block ability by say 15% but then decrease accuracy. You really wouldn't even have to neccessarly change the actual combat. A head hit would still be a head hit doing xxx amount of damage. You could also increase the speed a bit but decrease the damage to compensate. As for the actual creation of the 2 sabers, have them still use a total of 4 damage crystals with 2 color. Then all that really need to be done is animations which I'd LOVE to see.

To be honest, anything other than 2handed should be extra. It should either be achieved in the FRS somehow, or from some very long quest.
