Thread: Regarding unlocking between Publishes 9 & 10

That's pretty clear to me that my main will be the FS character after Pub 10 if I unlock between 9 and 10. So I'm back to really bummed.

If I unlock, and my 2nd character becomes a normal character, not an F.S. character, then my account will be immediately cancelled. If this is the path the Devs have chosen to follow, they're fools.
Ditto. There is absolutely no good reason for their decision to do it this way between 9 and 10. It makes absolutely no sense and all it's doing is pissing off everyone that's been obediently following the carrot they've dangled in front of us forever.
The JA II was referring to post publish 10 though. At that time they had not decided what was happening between 9 & 10. Many things have changed since.

Once I've gained my second character slot, both character slots are immediately eligible to gain force sensitive skills and become Jedi?
No. The new character slot will be a standard character. You can choose to go through the Force Sensitive quests again to allow that character to advance their Force abilities, but the entire quest line will need to be repeated with all the normal restraints.

Are you aware that you have to spend 24 skill points on force sensitive skills in the new system to be a Jedi? In the quest system, you will gradually build these 24 boxes up, dropping one of your normal skills one at a time... for those of us who are jedi or unlock before pub 10, we wil be at minimum Jedi Padawam's, with 30 skill points used already. That requires mass alteration to your main that you were not aware you had to plan for. I have seen TH say it. I don't know where though.
If I'm wrong, and I don't believe I am, then god help the devs.
Yes, and those skill points cost force exp. That is why I am guessing they give you force exp as the credit for any master professions and/or completed holos. If that is the case then itis up to you to drop or not drop skills to use that force exp. That would make the most sense, at least for those that haven't unlocked. For those that have, they could do a jedi converion like they are doing this publish, or just get lazy and give enough force exp to the main to get padwan. The second char would be just like all the other second chars made after pub 10. Pretty much anyones guess at this point.
It has already been stated the primary becomes the jedi after pub 10. No new jedi after pub 9. So what does happen to those inbetweeners isn't known. I see a lot of wishful thinking though. Personally I like the choice, I can take the force skills or drop them after unlocking. Redoing all those quests again would suck, but that is how subscriptions get renewed, by having stuff for you to do.
