I tried to get a lava crystal myself whent he jedi options on test were enabled but it said I had to be in "God Mode".......rofl. The pic you see is a Dev, Red-five I believe. Obviously Devs think they are God..........where is lightning when you need it.

What kind of elemental damage does it do? Heat? Fire? eeew a Fire Dot would be so cool.

I'm not sure, since no player on test has yet to aquire the cyrstal no one knows.
