Born leet?

But I do get your point that some Jedi dont know a lot from the game.

But if it comes to PvP: It was always possible to become a full-temp Jedi (and even Knight when lucky) without a single PvP-Fight.

And I bet you couldnt use your Jedi to its fullest from day 1 either. Thats why you are a Padawan. A Jedi-Student so to say. But Pre-CU you learned what your skills do on your own, not in a group where everybody could see your mistakes...

I disagree with the spirit in which your post was written, but unfortunately I believe it to be somewhat accurate. tryouts are stupid idea, but there is way too much coddling on the way to becoming jedi. this is NOT only the Devs' fault, but our fault as players and guilds.

The fruit of our coddling activities was realized recently when 2 of my newer guildmates unlocked Jedi (both started just pre-cu, but have done 98% of they playng post-cu, so are essentially post-cu players/jedi).

First, after killing Mel, they couldn't figure out how to find a shrine. Second, halfway through their trials, they were told to craft a training saber. Guess what, neither one of them could figure it out on their own. One of the two people I was grinding with actually went to meet up with these new jedi, hand delivered the best resources possible to them, and verbally walked them through the crafting process. The whole time I'm thinking 'how sweet'...or really, how pathetic that they couldn't read the schematic and just get the stuff themselves...ITS A TRAINING SABER. He basically told me that I was a jerk for suggesting that they actually TRY to put it together for themselves first.

Essentially, a lot of the new jedi i've run across have a few things in common. 1) they are part of a guild that has hand-held their entire FS/Jedi grinding experience; 2) These guilded jedi have the best resources available to them through their guild, so no working to find or make money to buy these resources; 3) they complain that the 10-20 crystals/pearls that they looted before they became jedi tuned crappy and despite the amazing resources, they can't make a competitive pvp saber.

I do know several new jedi that take it seriously, try to find out the answers before asking someone to walk them through it, and understand that it will likely take the tuning of several hundred crystals before they have 4 +100 dmg-9 fc pearls/crystals. These new jedi are rare from what i've seen unfortunately.

All the slower sperms are getting there now, and Im afraid they are getting a collective voice. They expect to be uber all of a sudden. Most of them dont have a clue on even basic PvP and have a bad attitude either expecting to be exempt (SP?) from PvP or are expecting an 'I win' button.

I was in a group with you Valius and prehaps i should defend those post- CU jedi out there.

I enjoyed your talk about how you were able to use FR whilst doing full damage and how much you loved it and how effective it was, what was it you needed to do again something about logging out and back in with it runing to get the speed without the damage reduction.

And my dear jedi "master" how was fightclub for you all those BH's lined up for you to kill counts as pvp for you and pleased you take pride in yourself as a pvp'er without actualy doing any pvp in order to gain rank.

Your a joke Valius you complain about jedi wanting to get jedi and yet with yours you do nothing but find way to abuse the intended system, if i didnt know you were exploiting i would have not posted but i KNOW you are from what you have said in group chat when ive been in a group with you.

You talk about easy FRS points and yet you would fightclub to get master so please dont take the moral highground here because its people like you which made the devs need to remove it.

Before you rant Valius i would think about what you say since now that people are often forced to group with people they dont know, so i would be careful about what you say in group chat because it will come around the corner and bite you on the butt.
I think people like you whose playstyle is expoilting has nothing to do with pvp or pve its about screwing the game over and all the players so you can get ahead.
Im ashamed to see jedi like you out here and you give the jedi profession a bad name

Hmmm... Perhaps try-outs would be the way to go. At least we could be rid of the egotistical, elitist, snob jedi as well.

Some of us "newer" jedi have lives outside of the game ie. kids, wife, mortgage and RL duties we must tend too before we login. This whole "I am uber jedi, you newer jedi are a joke to the profession" is very lame. Some of us have done just about everything in-game but we just did it slower than you supposed "uber" jedi. Some of us have been here since launch and again we just did the grind slower. Get off your high horses and support each other.

And an emphatic "NO" I don't expect to be "uber" right away, in fact I expect my jedi to be very weak for awhile. I don't expect an " I win" button, in fact I have an "I lose" button most of the time. I do not expect to be exempt from PvP, as jedi is a PvP profession. Stereotyping newer jedi is wrong so please stop.
