Thread: Snare Patch
Basically any BH that loses to a Jedi OR EVEN HAS A NON CLOAKER ESCAPE at this point has no clue about their abilities.
Frankly, I intend to retemplate my BH to take full advantage of this, and I suggest we ALL do. The more this "Iwin" button is used, the faster it will be yanked.

Not to mention, they at the last SECOND took out the cost increase to CM/Doc heals. Which means not only will a BH be able to prevent us from EVER getting more than one hit in melee unless he's a complete idiot, he can still heal forever at lower cost than us because mind outregens force.

So you are no more than a whining nerf-screamer? I just do not understand how most Jedi in my guild see at least one BH/CM per playing session, and consistently hack them into nothing. Sure, occasionally one comes along that is a major challenge or wins, but I am finding that to be pretty rare. Your "I win" button doesn't seem to work on Chimaera. Stop trying to nerf simply because you can't seem to figure it out.

This is actually more of a Jedi nerf than a ranged nerf.
1) Snares no longer stack.
-This affects us non-jedi melee players when we are using /burstrun, but the duration and cooldown makes it a hit or miss tactic for us anyway. Other than that is keeps us from being stacked when we are in normal movement mode. As is stands before publish 24 we could be stacked into absolutely no movement. That will not happen to us now.
2) Why is this a Jedi nerf and not a melee nerf?
-You have been able to force run at will until now. We (regular melee) do not have an at will movement buff other than /bu, which as stated above is useless if the fight lasts beyond the initial timer.
Burtstrun is a skill even a CL1 novice anything (or even no novice anything has). Forcerun is A FORCE POWER that takes millions upon millions of XP, and months of grinding to get.
That the devs even CONSIDER the two in the same light is absolutely absurd.
The point here is the "nerf" is to Jedi and not all melee professions. Although someone seems to have convinced members of the separate melee communities otherwise.
I stated above that the nerf is to /forceRun, not to /burstRun. The only comparison came because Jedi are claiming this to nerf ALL melee professions, when in truth it actually works out better for non-FR professions because they don't stack anymore. Sure, A melee person could complain about burst being slapped, but my point was that burst was not that important anyway.
Honestly, this new system will benefit Jedi without FR in their templates the same way it benefits tk, sword, pikes * fencer.

I'm just very grateful to them for releasing Pub 24 now. I have plenty of time to cancel my accounts and the preorderif this is as stupid as it seems...

How can this new system benefit anyone but ranged professions?
Nobody likes being snared / rooted indefinitely and the main problem IMO is having a status effect like this with no possible cure. FR was being used in effect as a cure to continuous snare / rooting and if the patch does what it seems to say on the tin this cure is being removed.
Maybe they should give Master Healer the ability to remove such status effects?
Also on the theme of /burstrun having too long a timer to be effective, don't forget to factor in parwan nutricake.

I'm loving my ranged Improved Force Lightning more and more! Who needs Melee anyway!?

My god. Here I will take the time to say it again.
Melee professions (non-jedi) have only one movement buff and it is short-lived and takes forever to cool-down. /BURSTRUN. Until today, snares could be stacked. Snares no longer stack, so we (non-jedi melee professions) will not we stopped to a halt by a snare, ever, again.
This is a Jedi nerf, because it effects FR. Why /FR and not /Burstrun? Because FR can be more readily applied, unlike BR, which can almost never be applied. We (again! (non-jedi melee professions)) know how, and are used to fighting without a movement buff. You (jedi) have no clue how to do this, even with a 32M saber throw!
That is why, again, this is not a melee profession workover. The only ones getting worked over here, are you (jedi).
