Except that the phrase is not "the snare will be just like it was for AI", it's "being added just like it was". The similarity is in the addition, not the type of snare. Look, you're obviously wanting to see what you want. I'm saying, yeah, it's likely to be the same in my opinion. But Bac simply did not say it would be the same strength of snare at all. Now, maybe English isn't your first language, so that would be understandable.

I'm a old fart 49-year-old journalism major and I understand your semantics. You see what you want, too, friend. You're splitting hairs and I'm telling folks what you even agree is gonna happen, too.

Lol, what the heck are we doing this for? It's just a game. Accept my apologies if I offended you - but I betcha we both are right about the upcoming cloak snare. I'm just a lot more upset about it that you are.

Had to see this coming. Jedi groups running through battle cloaking and uncloaking at will ganking the heck out of unsuspecting combatents. Well everyone complained about AI and got the nerf bat swung because Enhancers had not learned how to use their templates yet and stasis. Nowthe dabbler cloak templates can share in some pain. Adjust and overcome otherwise just go play another game.

I can't see the Mpowers guys getting to much greif out of this they can thoroughly trompse a MBH/MCM at will. This might however shed light on how imbalanced Jedi is against certain templates where we are indeed 1.5 less then the MBH/MCM if you dont have the right foods. Welcome to having to fight to live or get MENH for FR3 easy getaway.

So, for all those basing their arguments on the premise that the cloak nerf cannot be as bad as the Avoid Incap nerf, sorry.

This will make cloak useless, folks. Case closed - unless the devs change their minds.

Does it really matter if cloak gets a snare? No. What do you usually do before cloaking away from a BH? Run away, and every single person I know that has cloak (man there are many) also has a variant of Force Run. You do realize that using Force Run, Burst Run, or eating Parawan Nutricake completely negates the snare effect right?

Those are basic functions of cloak, friend. If you don't think we should be able to do it, you are wrong.

I'm a MLS/MP/4040 Healer. I don't have Force Run. Force Run doesn't negate the snare - it mitigates it. And you'd have to get Force Run 2 or 3 for any significant mitigation. But I'm not an expert on Force Run, because I don't have it.

Now everyone that has cloak will have to get Force Run, though, and I don't think that's right.

I'm just saying he didn't actually say what you are saying he did. If you have a journalism major, then you know that's a no-no. Anyway, small deal, but if you're pasting it all over thread after thread and it's blatantly wrong, it's annoying.

Hey, man, NP. We'll agree to disagree. The Fox News network is much more blatant than I am any day of the week, lol.

Bah, I just read that using FR/BR will remove the cloak. I can see the reasoning behind it, but considering the Jedi Cloak and Ranger Cloak are not the same type of cloaking skill (Jedi is mind trick based), I wouldn't think the rules would be the same. With that said I take back my statement above, as I don't understand why adding a snare would balance out this skill IF you cannot run while using it. With AI you having a fighting chance as it is a last stand skill. If this is supposed to be a strike first ability, you can't strike first if you cannot move.

I agree Drahzarr. From what they are saying, it sounds like if cloak is not going to be used as an escape ability but alpha-strike then there will be a horrible snare on it to prevent us from using it to run away from battle. We will just be able to cloak and basically stand there to choose when to uncloak and attack again. So this means we have to stay and fight it out with all the more powerful jedi temps out there. It is a horrible move seeing how mpowers users can't dish out the damage of other jedi. We don't have the offense and if we grab it from mls then we don't have the defense to go toe to toe with another jedi. I don't have force run in my temp so looks like I won't stand a chance now. It looks to be one more devastating nerf to powers users.

Yeah, I think so. I'm gonna try it tonight and see what happens, lol. I've never had to consider doing this before.

That will be much harder to code. I don't know if that's easily changed without ticking off a huge portion of the player base.

After all, there are not many of us Master Powers players around. The cloak nerf is not gonna tick off the majority of players. The log out thing would!
