Thread: Baciacca dont waste your time with the cloak blokes
to be succesful in pvp you need to know how to pick your template well. MH / MP / 4004 saber was a laugh preCU and it is a laugh postCU. check it or not.

I want to see you defeat some full template Jedi's a Master Combat Medic and a few swordmen.
why should i be so stupid and pick up healer. to play a profession / template well you need to know what skills you ahve, and what skills are usefull for defeating your enemy. iam not so stupid and pickup healer and pwoers as these two always been sucky. i tried them out in the respect phase but both are useless at master level. combined (heal 4040 / powers 4000) with other skills they can be handy and usefull. sure total heal would be nice if it wouldnt drain so much force and mind but tbh... its not needed. some for powers. the force i use for 1 choke and 1 breach is the ofrce i use for 10-15 saber specials. never seen a good pvp chap with powers template on farstar preCU. but for healer i can say it was nice but nothing to go for if i want to BASH and be the UBER jedi.
but the main thing maker jedi weaker then preCU (and let all the roleplay jedi lose vs BH) is that there is no lightsaber damage anymore.

Because Powers RULED before CUNot many people had the balls to get it, But a few powers in our server were the best "PVPers".. Lightning use to do tons of damage against jedi....
Not really, a Jedi council member could throw up feedback and return 1.5x the damage inflicted, a 2000 damage lightning would be sent back doing 3500 damage to the original attacker... OUCH. But choke and weaken did 2K tick debiliation when timed properly.
So even though jedi is a PVP based classed, some templates are not made for pvp? sorry, my mistake,i thought you said it was about learning your template and nothing else.

because you dont have a good saber / i.e you cba to farm krayts / NS / force sensitive npcs to get yourself a usefull saber.
preCU you just went out for a krayt hunt wih your swordsman tank temp and acklay PH after 3hrs you had 10-20 prems.
iam a preCU jedi yes, i have preCU premium pearls yes. and it was handy to get 10-20 a buff run YES. but heck before they enhanced the krayt spawns on tatooine
pearls been rarer aswell ! no all forgot about that or ? searching 3 hrs for a krayt spawn and then see 5 guilds on it fighting for the loot rights.
after 1 year of normal krayt spawn they enhanced it... so all 5 meters you saw a giant krayt spawn...
get your a$$ out and farm your crystals. dont cry, we did it thesame way before they enhanced the krayt spawns by 1000%. noone is making YOU a gift and places 4 120 -9 pearlsi n your inventory

Pre-CU I was Master Pistoleer/Master CH, and thats going back a long, long way. I never bothered farming Krayts because quite frankly I couldn't be bothered fighting over them with everyone else using whichever exploit of the week was in season - i.e. trapping them behind harvesters, using triple sliced rifles, etc. etc. If I had known the Devs were going to just remove premiums/flawless from the game in one go I would've been out there farming them with the best of them, as I'm sure you did. /clap
Or, I could've just bought a load at the time for 3 million each - the going rate at the time.
I have a reasonably decent sabre, around 550 dmg but do you know what? I don't want to be like 99.9% of the Jedi out there - MLS/MDef FoTM variations. I want to play Powers, and I don't expect to be some all conquering force with it - I just want it to be comparable power to what else is out there, which it plainly isn't at the moment.
But by all means carry on sitting in your ivory tower with your pre-CU sabre and pre-CU pearls, criticising the whiners who "can't be bothered to get good pearls to make a decent sabre". If you had half a clue you'd be dangerous. I've looted at least 40 good pearls myself post-CU, and all of them have tuned for absolute rubbish. Not one of them was over 75 dmg.
I wouldn't expect you to know about that though, you can just waltz around with your elitist pre-CU attitude, pretending like you actually know what the rest of us are going through. And here's a tip - dont insult my intelligence by claiming to know what professions I've done and what I did pre-CU, I've been around at least 6 months before you.

Healing is what needs to be nerfed.
I mentioned rifleman because it has the only comparable skill to cloak. I mentioned how it had been balanced to make it a fairly effective but not imbalanced skill.
The ability to run at the speed of a speeder bike while invisible is imbalanced.
The ability to use combat skills such as heals and buffs while cloaked is imbalanced.
The ability to attack while cloaked is imbalanced. (an exploit yes, but one that nearly everyone can do if they want to)
These issues have all been addressed from whatI can see. Cloak is no longer an uber skill that allows people to dictate exactly how a combat progresses, if at all. I can understand its new application as an 'alpha strike' andI can respect that, why cant you?
An alpha strike for whom? Defenders? It certainly is not gonna be an option at all for me, an MLS/MP/4040 Healer. If I decloak and attack now, I can't recloak to get away.

and WOW you really tuned 40, yes 40 pearls / crystals ? WOW youvebeen active... me and my mates tuned hundreds of prems to get us decent sabers and you are sick with the tune rate of just 40 ? WOW... thats impressiv
You've tuned hundreds of prems? Something that doesn't even drop anymore? What do you want, a medal?
