DON'T HOLD ME TO THIS:
It looks like Jedi XP is equal to standard prof XP.
One move is giving incorrect XP: Ranged weapon KD grants Jedi XP
If I do one, I get 17 XP converted from weapons to Jedi, and 2 XP off the Combat total.
This is the same rate as doing one hit with a wimpy melee strike.
That's a bug, it's not supposed to grant Jedi xp for Firearm hit.

not to be rude but your beta reports on how brawler is going has 0 to do with how jedi will go. i appreciate you took the time to post your progress in brawler but honestly until jedi itself is being tested no reason to post reports to jedi on non jedi professions
Wouldn't you say that a Jedi at his weakest - pre-novice Lightsabers and only NLS - is no more powerful than a novice brawler? I mean, Pre-NLS even levels with Brawler skills.
This isn't "Oh, of course" on Jedi leveling, it's observations about leveling in general.

Yes, I do. MOBs three levels below you (I'm taking them on as Unarmed 3 with little to no problem) grant 1120 XP each. MOBs one level below grant 1800 XP. I have never healed more than once on these things, using Center of Being. As well, finding missions at your difficulty will not be hard; mission terminals spit out missions at your level or 1 or 2 levels below.
Having an artificially high level from other skills will not affect your combat skills too much; you will not take more damage from a MOB because you are using a "lower" weapon than your top cert. This hasn't been tested, of course, so I'm not positive, but I do as well with Rifles 1 on these MOBs as I do with 2h 3, but I need to heal more. That's without kiting, by the way. They've also lowered high-level regen and upped high-level HAM, making it more feasable to be able to "hang in there" with a big MOB while not destroying combat utterly.
Jedi leveling will definitely be possible, but it will be slower. I'd recommend a change of Jedi XP to one half of standard weapons XP, which, when combined with the larger boxes, would be more in balance re: time/effort with the 1.5x standard while still making Jedi more difficult than its numbers alone are worth.

The thing is, Jedi XP is - I believe - 1/5th of normal weapons xp. That means Jedi paddies are going to be getting 200 Jedi Xp from each kill rather than the 1k under the old system, no?
it was 360 for an initiate in the first system so grind now while its good.

I hope they dump all the goofy combat graphics. Looks like a stupid form of Tekken or the old Batman TV show from the 60s.
That was the same thing I was thinking.

lol, so was I.
Everytime Iused amele profession I was waiting for the Batman music to start with combat.....all they need to do is put "bam" "pow" or "boom" above the mob you are hitting and the devs journey to the darkside will be complete
